Relaxed cool vibe in this new independent wine bar with simply delicious food accompanied by great wines and cocktails. We tried the white and red wine ‘flights’ - sample size tastings including a creamy South African Chenin Blanc and a zingy Italian Pinot Noir. Awesome tapas style small plates of tapenade, pickled carrots and radish, tasty bread and tongue tingling smoked trout and potato salad helped balance the wine - we finished with a smooth coffee and a moreish vegan cake. Very friendly and helpful staff, well selected background music track from someone with good taste. If you’re in Chester then this place is a must visit.
A delicious selection of light bites including sandwiches, cheese and charcuterie.
A good wine list, or if it’s your preference, the coffee was good too.
Cosy and casual, I’d highly recommend
I have had the pleasure of visiting this establishment on a number of occasions now and I must say that it is an asset to Chester.
My first visit was an evening visit with girl friends to catch up. We enjoyed copious amounts of quality wine and charcuterie. The home made crackers were a highlight. The staff were very attentive and the owner Frances could not do enough to help us.
My second visit was on a Saturday afternoon for a hot chocolate and a cake with my little girl. Again the welcome was second to none and the hot chocolate was incredible. I would go as far as to say the best in Chester and the cake was up there too.
I have also visited for lunch with my mother. We both had the soup and toasted sandwich option and left entirely satisfied with the quality of the food and drink and the friendliness and professionalism of the staff.
This venue is incredibly versatile and is by far one of the best in Chester. I look forward to my many future visits.
Brilliant place, I have been in multiple times since it opened. The level of service is fantastic, we have had sharing boards each time and a bottle of wine. The quality of food is excellent it's a great addition to the vibrant Northgate quarter and will definitely be a regular please to visit.
Went to Docket 64 just after it opened and it was fantastic the Quality of the Food, Wines & service is fine dining level. All bread, cakes etc are homemade. The owners really know their stuff its the best wine bar in Chester by a country mile and every detail has been considered. ALSO its so refreshing to go somewhere where everything is locally sourced it really is worth a visit...can't wait to go back.
I took my in-laws into Docket No.64 whilst visiting from London and we were greeted by lovely, friendly staff and delicious food. They have a great selection of wine and knowledgeable staff to help you decide which one to go for.
I Wish I lived closer, I would be in every weekend!
Here's hoping for a Docket in London in the future!!
Popped in to Docket 64 one evening with friends and I must say going out whilst heavily pregnant does not make for a fun evening but the staff at Docket 64 went out of their way to make sure I had a nibbles (cheeses) that were safe to eat during pregnancy and drinks that didn't make me feel like the designated driver 😁 I can't wait to get back in a few weeks and try the wine which my husband informed me was lovely!
Our favourite place. Amelia is so friendly and very knowledgeable about her wines. Love it
Small but perfectly formed. Great atmosphere, excellent service and great choice of beverages. Will be back soon
Went in for a drink with my girlfriend this weekend. Really nice bar and great staff. I will become a regular
Lovely little wine and foodie place. Friendly wait on staff. Would recommend.
Small bar serving deli-style boards. Lovely staff and nice quiet environment during the day.
Great location, friendly and knowledgeable staff, excellent customer service, great selection of wines
On the pricey side for what you get, but lovely food.
