Service was brilliant from all the staff and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend the roast rump of lamb it just melts in the mouth. Sticky toffee pudding wasn't half bad either �
Visited MPW restaurant and had afternoon tea, it's was lovely and fresh, tasted amazing and the service was second to none. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning. Evening meal next time!
The only downside was that Marco himself didn't serve me wearing only his bandana 😉
Went last night for our first wedding anniversary. Greeted with a glass of champagne in celebration, food was amazing, best steak I've ever had. Did the stay and dine package, works out very reasonable for what you get, had 3 courses couldn't fault any of it! Staff were lovely and attentive, great service. Ended up sitting at the bar drinking cocktails and chatting with the staff, quick mention to eamonn who was a fab host. Thank you. We will be back xx
Went for mum's birthday a girlie get together...food was great and the Spa was very much needed felt completely relaxed...staff were wonderful and looked after mum very well!
Steak was yummy I expected a small portion of food so wasn't disappointed was full up after main course
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, great atmosphere and the staff are very attentive, prices to meet a varied budget so go and treat yourself, you won't be dissapointed. Oh and we sat overlooking the fountain; very romantic.
Amazing spa day yesterday with delicious afternoon tea and prosecco. Staff were very attentive and nothing was to much trouble. We would love to go back after looking at the steak menu and reading previous reviews!

Marco Pierre White is one of the best steakhouses in Chester. Top class food and a diverse menu.
The scotch eggs were my favourite starter on the menu. Trust me, good posh scotch eggs are really tough to find.
The chateaubriand steak was unbelievably good (it is a sharing dish though, you’ll need to bring a friend).
One thing that is stopping MPW from getting a 5 star rating is the prices, which in all fairness live up to the reputation of a top class restaurant in a very nice hotel.
Would definitely recommend if you don’t mind splashing out for some very decent food.

I've been lucky enough in my lifetime to travel extensively, and this is the best steak I have EVER had anywhere in the world. It was a sin to put the sauce onto it - it was just so tender, succulent, tasty etc. The staff were fine. My only complaint would be that the room was particularly cold (we went in March ) and the drapes/curtains didn't have enough material in them to be able to close and stop the draughts. Also, I think that beneath the pristine white table cloths, the tables were cheap, as we had issues with the tables wobbling and not seeming very secure, but none of that detracted from the fabulous steak, and would not stop us from returning again soon.
Thank you so very much for the care and attention we received on Saturday night. Lauren and her staff were amazing, so helpful and charming, and they really did go that extra mile for us. The table was lovely, nice, comfortable and private where we both managed to enjoy a quiet meal undisturbed. Food and wine was beautiful whilst service was second to none!. Great ambience, atmosphere and really relaxing. Thank you, we be sure to return!
While our meals were lovely, the service very good, the room’s decor perfectly suited, the lighting beautiful I can’t say that it was overall a 5 Star experience. I’ve tried some fantastic restaurants around the world and came here very excited about the chance to visit a MPW restaurant in the UK, surprised to find one in Chester.
Apart from a slightly jar like sweet chilli sauce nothing was off key, nothing on our meals (I had a steak) had the requisite wow factor I was looking forward to from MPW
We booked a meal for four at the Steakhouse and were greeted by Marcin and he and our waitress provided superior service from the minute we arrived. The food was amazing even our vegetarian friend was surprised at the variety of food on the menu. The rest of us had the steak and it was everything we expected and more.
We took out time over our meal and never felt rushed, the waiter kept our glasses filled without us even noticing! We finished our evening with coffee and turkish delight.
I can certainly say we will be back for more. Thankyou Marcin and all the staff.
Absolutely great food. A little overpriced since the portions are too small. My tuna steak could easily have been 3 times the size.
