Been a fan of this place for years! Love the food, the coffee is to die for and Lucy and Rich have got such a lovely story of how the little yellow pig came into the world. Love all the little quirks too, that stamp the owners personalities all over the place, just gutted no focaccia to take home

First visit to this quirky little cafe in Hoole we had a warm and friendly welcome from the cafe staff. I went for the special of the day consisting of poached egg (cooked to perfection) with smashed avocado and feta on thick toast, with a cheeky sausage on the side. The presentation was lovely and the dish was delicious. My tea was also served in a traditional China tea cup, the whole experience was fabulous. Can’t wait to pop in again soon.
What a great find, only wondered in while having tyres fitted down the road, thought we'd just have a tea n coffee but got tempted by the specials board pancakes with maple syrup and bacon, absolutely delicious would defo recommend this place 👍 Very cosy and friendly.
It was a very nice experience, it is a quaint little local coffee shop with extras, it's not the Dorchester so manage your expectations. The staff are very helpful and friendly, coffee was very nice as was the sandwich and the atmosphere so relaxing. Would visit again and again.
Fabulous cafe. Always accommodating of our pram. Even when a couple of us take up lots of space! They are friendly, accommodating and always smiling. Lovely people, great food and tasty coffee
It's a lovely local cafe. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff and lovely food. Definitely worth a visit.
I love coming to this place with my son in the holidays. The Lego keeps him entertained. We love a cup of tea in a china cup and the cakes are amazing.
I just love this place xxxxx great coffee, lovely staff and amazing cake!
I love this little cafe, best tea cake and coffee around.
Great coffee, great music, lovely cakes, and especially now they've got the extra room, really great space to sit and relax

Love it in here, fantastic staff, gorgeous food ,what's not to totally love
Blueberry pancakes, bacon and maple syrup were delicious!!!!
Broccoli and Stilton soup was delicious!
Bacon, Sausage, whole grain mustard and a freshly baked crusty batch. The only place to be on Saturdays
Was lovely at this place. Decorated so cool. Seats outside and a whole load out the back. Food looked and tasted delicious. Very happy end to Chester
Very busy cafe with it's own unique vibe. There is a great selection of tasty homemade cakes. If you want something more healthy, the lunch menu is just as good. It can get very busy at lunchtime, which is a sign they are doing something right. There is a large seating area with tables in the room to the left, or else the stools and window seats by the counter are good for those just popping in for a quick drink. In better weather, they have tables outside, where you can be part of the Hoole street scene!
Stopped by on our way out of Chester for some breakfast and it was all phenomenal. I had the halloumi avo poached egg siracha scenario (hatsp I believe) and it was stunnin. The sourdough was lovely and siracha was a sensible amount of spice.
Lovely atmosphere and staff, would definitely come again if I’m ever in Chester again
Delicious food.... one of my favourite places
Great place to have brunch. Menu is small but with lovely options & the food is fresh & perfect portion size. Very filling. We had a toastie & breakfast bap the first time & enjoyed it so much we went back for breakfast with friends. Lovely busy place, friendly & comfy.
Amazing brunch and delicious coffee. Loads of options on the menu and lovely staff.
Amazing find, Google suggested Little Yellow Pig and I'm glad it did, busy Sunday and a table of 5 and a dog so we had to wait a bit but it was worth it, great food, coffee and service. Thank you. 😊
The Yellow Pig is my first choice for coffee or brunch in Hoole. Great food, nice friendly and relaxed vibe, lovely staff and its dog friendly (there are free dog treats next to the cakes). Arrive just before 10am on a Sunday to get a table, it can get busy!
I was at the Chester railway station, with an hour before my train left. This place looked promising, so why not give it a try?
It was about a 24min brisk walk - round trip - to the Little Yellow Pig. Took me about 20min total to order, be served, and eat. Plenty of time to make my train. Your results may vary.
Staff were very welcoming. Nice and quiet inside, which is always nice during breakfast.
I got the open faced salmon, egg, spinach and chili flake sandwich on sourdough. It was delicious.
Only been once but looking forward to going again. Lovely little independent cafe with an appetizing menu. I had a delicious salad and great coffee
