What a difference the refurbishment has made. If you venture in, you won't be disappointed. The staff were amazing last night, perfect amount of engagement, and judging when to leave us to talk. The food is majorly tasty and was spot on for me. However my partner only had one choice in the main courses as a vegetarian, good job she likes cauliflower and didn't mind quite how spicy it was, this is the reason it drops to four stars. An extra vegetarian/ vegan option in the mains that isn't a standard mushroom or stuffed pepper and this place will absolutely be my go to. Congrats team well done.

Our first visit on recommendation of multiple friends. Went to celebrate a birthday. Intimate lunch for the 2 of us. Rob our waiter was brilliant, professional and friendly. He brought a little surprise to acknowledge the birthday. Of course the food was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed by us both. Definitely will be going back. Thank you to the White Horse Team.

Great time here. Very welcoming, great decor inside. The main menu didn’t have a huge amount to choose from, there were some classics missing which I thought may have been on. Service was perfect, desert menu was also amazing, coconut rice pudding is a must. :) cheesy chips were very disappointing, more chips than cheesy!

Steak was the star. All the food was excellent. Also try the Sticky Walnut in Hoole, Chester. Same ownership, similar menu. Worth a trip frankly.

Lovely gastro pub, cosy atmosphere, great pint. We went on a busy Sunday afternoon and the service was a bit slow, otherwise we enjoyed the meal.

First trip to the refurbished White Horse by the Elite Bistros team. Lovely refurbishment job, good selection of drinks, staff were great, and the food was even better. Started with arancini, fried chicken, and olives. All were excellent. For mains we had the curried lamb pie (exquisite) and the whole Plaice (beautifully delicate). Finally, had to sample the chocolate oblivion to finish. Will be back again soon, highly recommend.

Welcoming and friendly atmosphere, enhanced by excellent staff. I arranged to meet family here to celebrate my son passing his driving test. The excellent manager at the White horse bought my son a pint. I was really taken by this kind and generous act, a rare occurrence in this day and age. I ordered 2 portions of the simply excellent whitebait, the best I have eaten in a long time. So fresh, plump and tasty. Top marks for this fine eatery, an excellent wine list is present and the full array of the usual gins and Beers. Beautiful walk's are in the area, and of course the river Dee is a stroll away. I highly recommend the White Horse in Churton.

I don't think I will be able to describe just how delicious the food is. We were visiting family and had hired out the private dining room. Every single member if staff were welcoming and lovely. The food was amazing. They gathered for gluten free, dairy free and sugar free dietary requirements. The little details of the decor are lovely. Thank you for such a lovely evening and the most amazing food.

Popped in for a meal and was recommended a chicken burger (with extras) which was the special for the day. I was utterly in awe of what I ate and the chocolate oblivion desert is heavenly

A warm welcome, great service & delicious bistro food. A beautifully re-furbished local pub by a dedicated small business owner Gary Usher.

Food and service was exceptional with a great selection of drinks on offer. The manager looked after the five of us amazingly. We will be back again to try some more dishes in future.

I really love a “good” Sunday Roast, I used to look at roasts in the Elite Bistro family and think over priced, and not good value for money, however visiting their new pub, my perception is changed, service is excellent, food very good, and my perception about value for money is blown out of the water, fantastic food, decent portion size, and real pub prices for the beer, it’s highly recommended, we’ll be back 👍🏻

Great place. Quaint and cosy indoors. Lovely outside space. Food excellent. Good choice and very tasty. All of us enjoyed our meals. Service brilliant. Friendly staff. Slight mistake on our order but quickly rectified. Travelled quite a distance but well worth the journey. We will return

OMG, you have to try this latest addition to the Gary Usher chain of eateries. Great setting, great service and outstanding food. My choices were, Stout Rarebit to start with followed by Curried Lamb pie with a vanilla and coconut rice pudding with grilled pineapple crumble topping - Lush 😉👍 Give it try, you'll not be disappointed, promise.

Sunday lunch was the best I’ve had in a long time. Rolled pork with apricot was divine, wife had roast beef which was just as good. Rice pudding with pineapple for dessert to finish off. Excellent

Really great family oriented pub, the new owners are working hard to give this place a new life, and succeeding. The London pride and 6X beers are well cared for, as well as a selection of other beers, ciders and Gins. The menu is varied and good portions to cater for all...picture of my very large locally sourced burger, nom nom. The car park allows campers to stay as long as you eat and drink in the pub, what a refreshing change to see positive change and happy smiles from the staff and owners Jackie and Dave, good luck to the whole team ❤👌👍🤞
