Went to watch a local blues band called Dr T Bone. Hadn't been before, I was impressed. All staff were friendly good wine surrounding's very pleasant, we'll definitely be back. Oh and the band was really good too....live music you can't beat it.

Found this pub unexpectedly and what a good find. Went back for our second night and it was just as good. Wonderful live music, great atmosphere, good bar service; what more could you want.
Wonderful selection of ales and wines! The atmosphere, decor and music really make it. Not from Chester, popped in for a quick drink whilst visiting and we were welcomed with warmth and were told facts about the beers!! :)
Had a lovely hour here before heading home for the night. Great live band and atmosphere. The bouncer was also lovely. Friendly and polite. Even offered to carry a chair for a lady stood up.

We've been coming to The Cornerhouse for years and always found it to be a welcoming place with a great range of drinks. There is a range of entertainment as well with live music each week, a decent selection of board games and the infamous weekly quiz. They have recently started doing roast dinners on a Sunday. We tried it out today and it did not disappoint! Generous portions of a home-cooked, traditional roast dinner with all the trimmings and very reasonably priced. Would absolutely recommend time and time again. Ben and the rest of the team do a fantastic job of making the Cornerhouse a home from home.
Great place to visit for a drink. Friends had their wedding reception here. Staff were lovely. The venue was beautiful and quirky. Reasonable drinks prices. Food was also amazing. The cheese and meat boards were delicious. Definitely recommend
Fantastic selection of real ales (I managed to try all four on offer and they were all good!) and bottled. Lovely seating areas with extremely helpful and friendly staff. They also have a decent selection of board games which are free to use - we had a great time playing shut the box with the kids!
Nice looking bar, far end of the street from chester station.
It has a brilliant asthetic and feels like a great place to chill and drink.

Such a lovely, family run venue. We held a private party upstairs and the staff were lovely. Sophie was very efficient with organising the booking. Food was lovely and presented well. Ideal venue for a casual party. Lovely atmosphere.
Enjoyed another brilliant night at The Cornerhouse for their Sunday night quiz - as always, great service from the whole team, friendly and quick service at the bar, good variety of drinks and the platters are delicious. They must put in so much hard work to make the quiz so varied, fun and engaging. Thank you!
Hired the function room for our wedding after party and had a ball. The staff were amazing during the whole thing, bar staff were great and really know what they are doing and the hall is a good size and looks amazing even without decorations. Couldn’t have chosen a better spot to celebrate our wedding. Thank you to all staff for helping us make our night memorable!

We had a surprise 50th birthday party last Friday night at the Cornerhouse…I have to say we had the best time ever! This venue is awesome! I would absolutely recommend this to anybody who wants to hold an event! It’s perfect, there is a nice mix in the function room where at one end you can have a DJ and dance to your hearts content, you can also mingle at the bar if that’s your thing and you can also have a nice comfy seat at the other end and sit and chat if you want to catch up…it’s a great lay out! I was in contact throughout from when we booked the venue until the actual evening with Sophie, she was brilliant, everything went smoothly and to plan, no hiccups whatsoever, we chose to take one of the buffet menus for our guests which the Cornerhouse did for us so thank you to Adela who worked hard in the kitchen for our 55 guests. The bar service was excellent too, our lovely bar tender was Chris who was great and very good at understanding us after we had had a few! Thank you guys! You are at the top of my list for any other celebrations we may be planning in the future 👌🏻👌🏻

5 Stars all round for this absolute gem of a place in Chester; hired for an afterwork social, Sophie and her team helped me execute a perfect night for our staff - the function room is a perfect size - great vibe up there. Food was great - we went with pizza's and Sophie was super helpful in advising on quantities for our numbers, which worked-out perfectly. Drinks lovely and really reasonably priced.
On the night, Adela, Matty and Sophie were great at looking after us from start to finish - would wholeheartedly recommend as a venue to host your party / social gathering, but equally just as somewhere nice to hangout for a drink - rosé was beautiful!

This lovely chester Ale house had a lovely bar staff on today. When we visited, it had 4 good hand pumped ales on it and has a comfortable interior to it

Went for Sunday lunch, beautifully cooked food and good portions, helpful friendly staff and lovely atmosphere as with it getting cooler they had the log fire burning.
Cask and keg beer, pizza and meat/cheese type platters. Pizzas are built yourself from a list of ingredients - we chose chicken, prosciutto and artichoke hearts. We also had a meat/cheese platter. We liked the chosen cheeses - a brie, a green-veined blue cheese that didn't taste blue at all, and a creamy blue cheese that wasn't too strong. It came with olives, pickles, cheese biscuits. An enjoyable visit.
Fabulous cozy pub! Atmosphere is great - very friendly and welcoming staff. Platters and pizza are lovely. Sunday night quiz is the best in town 😀
We went for a wedding party there at the top room so my review is for this service and not as a pub. The food was great and the room very warm and nice. There is a bar as well which was really handy.
Great place to visit for live music. Bobcat Billy were outstanding great night on the 21st October.
