Visiting Chester today we just wanted a light bite so were very pleased to spot The Eatery. We went upstairs as downstairs was full; obviously a popular venue. We both had scrambled egg on toast, mine being on gf toast. Good sized portions and very tasty with a giant pot of tea. The menu and specials board looked very good. If we had been staying in Chester for several hours I would have gone back there for our main meal. I forgot to take a photo of my meal but did snap this lovely outdoor area at the back. Service was great; staff friendly and efficient. Recommended!

We stumbled across this place on the way to the station. What a find! It delivered everything we were craving for breakfast. Plus the cost was fantastic! Full English for less than £9 inc coffee. The staff were friendly and the food came out quickly. I would highly recommend

Called in for Breakfast while wife & daughter ran Chester Half. Can't praise this place enough, from the welcome, the quality of thefood, the price and the value. Looked at a few cafés in the city and we basically saved £10 on two breakfasts and it was just great. How places justify £12.50 for a Breakfast is just daft. Will definitely be coming back.

First time I've been to this quaint little cafe, however I will definitely be coming again and can highly recommend! I only had half an hour but the service was quick, staff were friendly and efficient and food was delicious and very reasonably priced. I had fishcakes chips and salad, and mum had a grape and gets salad, we both shared a pot of tea for less than £20! Fabulous little cafe 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We were looking at other tables for ideas for next time!

An amazing cafe with a delightful little outside rear terrace. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food cooked fresh to order and a good selection of breakfasts, sandwiches, snacks and lunches. Coffe was good too. Good to see an extensive gluten free option. Highly recommend this place.

The eatery is THE BEST good, honest, cafe that you will find in Chester. No messing about with gimmicks or silly prices. Just the simple stuff done WELL. It’s time we had more places like these. Will always be a regular here.

Food was delicious (we had the specials - mac and cheese with bacon and the chicken and bacon wrap), staff were very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely go back when we revisit Chester.

Just popped in as it was the first cafe on our walk from the station. So pleased that we found this little gem of a place to eat. The food was excellent, and matched by the friendly, helpful service. Will definitely return next time we're in Chester.

Nice friendly cafe with well made food. The panini's were tasty and warm. We had to wait longer than expected for food but the staff apologised which was appreciated. Only feedback I could pass on is if the coffee could be stronger in taste. Worth a visit if you want some nice food

A very good independent daytime eatery that has a varied menu that is affordable. I was sorry that the resident dog was on a day off when we visited.

Visited this lovely little eatery during the Chester Marathon 2022 The breakfast was lovely as was the coffee. The staff were very friendly. I was very impressed by how they all worked so well together as a team. There was a gentleman making the drinks and I think I counted 5 young girls, the counter was only small but not once did they get in each others way. Would definitely recommend and visit again, thankyou.
