So on a Sunday me and mum decided to have a Chinese buffet. They had an offer £14 per person for 3 course meal . We had spring rolls, chicken satay for starters. Main course: Fried rice and chow mien the food was absolutely delicious and lip smacking. I would definitely visit again. Very friendly staff too .
Just had a great meal in showboat tonight 4 of us went had 2 of the £12 special banquets as we were there before 7 & 2 of the other banquets shared everything excellent service & food-prawn toasts beautiful really good value, definitely dine there again.
Lovely staff very polite. You have a choice of A la carte menu or the 2full belly banquet. We had the banquet wow amazing choice of soups, then starters need to pick 6 starters, then crispy duck and pancakes, choice of main courses also choice of boiled rice, noodles, fried rice the dessert of ice cream on its own, or with banana fritters or lychee. We had lager with our meal so it cost £63 for 2 meals and 2 pint of lager. The banquet was £26.50 per person.
1st time visiting the slow boat and loved it. 7 adults 3 kids. The food was just amazing.

Been here a few times now and attended yesterday for the sisters birthday, once again fantastic time. The service was amazing always attending the table is we needed to order again or drinks etc, they even brought out the cake for my sister's birthday after keeping it behind the bar during the meal for us. The food, as usual was incredible. Was slightly gutted to no longer see Thai Curry on there and other alterations have been made since I came last, but everything was beautiful all the way through. Our favourite is definitely the salt and pepper chicken or ribs so I highly recommend these. And to be able to reorder as many times as you want, 6 items max for £17.50, is fantastic. Highly recommended and no wonder they are a Chester Staple of a restaurant.
Right...full disclosure I'm not a foodie so while I can't comment in a matter that's relevant, in what regards food...I had a meal which was delicious, served with a smile and nothing seemed to be too much bother for them. It is a family owned business for the past 60 years...it is a piece of Chesters history
Excellent food and service, was recommended by a taxi driver, and was not disappointed the best salt and pepper ribs and sweet and sour King prawn. The batter for the sweet and sour prawn was tempura and thin but crunchy, amazing, service was prompt, helpful, and friendly, overall we were not disappointed and reasonable prices. Caution access is via stairs

Hot food delivered bang on time. So much choice on the menu. Large portions. Standard of food and ingredients is a cut above any other Chinese takeaway we"ve ordered at home.

Lovely food we had the eat as much as you like a little expensive but it is Chester,drinks were reasonable fantastic night well worth it.
Ordered the meal deal for 2, which was fantastic. 5 starters, 3 mains and 2 sides. Arrived very quickly, hot and well packaged. If you fancy a delivery, get the app installed from the PlayStore and get ordering.
I enjoyed the starter and main food was tasty as well.
