My first experience of carluccios was not great, this was my second time and it was much better.. The food is OK, I wouldn't say its the best Italian rather a good generic go to. The food is nice enough and therefore not much to complain about. The service was very good and accommodating and the atmosphere is nice. Give it a go.

Carluccio's is an Italian restaurant chain that was founded in 1991 by Antonio and Priscilla Carluccio. The first restaurant was opened in Market Place, London, and it was a continuation of their successful food shop. The restaurant chain has since expanded to over 30 locations across the UK and Ireland. The Chester branch is located at 38 Bridge Street, Chester CH1 1NQ. The restaurant offers authentic Italian cuisine made with the finest ingredients from the best regions of Italy. The menu features a variety of dishes, including Burrata e Crudo, Risotto di Mare, and Chocolate Sharing Trio. Carluccio's also has an online store that sells Italian food products, including pasta, sauces, and olive oil. If you want some delicious and authentic Italian food with soft music, this is your place. Loved the environment and the friendly people. Highly recommend.

Spacious cafe/restaurant for meals, brunch or snack. Tables are laid out with corporate precision, everywhere is clean and tidy. I visited for a breakfast coffee and pastry. The staff were very welcoming on my arrival, efficient at taking my order and bringing it to my table. I had a seat in the window, which afforded a great view of the street outside; a nice place to relax and watch the world go by. I had an Americano with an almond croissant. The croissant was served warm, which was a nice touch. I would definitely visit again.

This was a very good experience. The food and wine were absolutely delicious, the service was attentive and very friendly and the atmosphere was warm. It's the best Italian restaurant experience I've had in Cheshire (and possibly the North West).

I had booked a table for 7 of us last night for a family reunion, after not seeing my siblings for 2 years. Myself and my partner arrived first and the waitress that greeted us was not welcoming at all, she didn't smile during any of our interactions or say much at all, and she spoke so quietly when she did, really bad first impression. I told her the name of the reservation and she just fumbled about a bit before offering us a table for two. When I told her that we had a table booked for 7, she went to the other waitress who was aware of the booking and showed us to our table. Mind you, there was only about 3 or 4 occupied tables at this point (6pm). The other waitress, Elia, was friendly and cheerful. She brought menus for the rest of the table as the other only left two and she was very attentive in ensuring that everyone had drinks as people started to arrive. Throughout the experience, sometimes we would get Elia and sometimes we would get the other waitress. The other waitress brought our food and it was awkward as she just glared at us after quietly stating the dish she had. She brought me my soup and I was sat for a few minutes without a spoon until I had to get up and ask Elia for one, who was lovely and apologetic. We finished the meal with coffees and desserts and when I double-checked that the lattes were decaf, she took them back only to come back 30 seconds later to confirm. I asked for sweetener as I can't have sugar and she brought and held a sugar pot over my shoulder from behind me. I told her that this was regular sugar and she just said "yes, this is sugar". She left again after an awkward interaction and she brought sweetener this time, but it just seemed odd that she wouldn't just place the pot of sugars on the table for the rest of the table to have too. All in all, it was a nice experience with lovely food. It was definitely saved by Elia, if we'd have had the other waitress full-time it would have put more of a dampener on the night and made the experience a lot less enjoyable, frankly.

Absolutely amazing authentic Italian meal. Took our two young boys who loved the kids menu items, the prawns were about the best starter I've ever eaten and the service was so friendly and helpful. The only regret was my husband paid by card and we forgot to tip! And they definitely deserved it, this was our holiday treat meal our and it didn't disappoint. Thanks so much!

Me and my Mum visited here by chance when looking for something to eat on our final visit to Chester. We was not disappointed, the food was lovely, just a shame it wasn't very hot. Staff was lovely and approachable :-)

10 of us went after the races . Unfortunetely too many customers not enough staff. Our waitress was lovely but very stretched. Food arrival slow and sides can nearly at the end of the meal.
