If you're looking for an aesthetic, instagram worthy cafe.. it's here! With copper accents and plants galore, it creates the most welcoming and friendly atmosphere. I'm always in here after I finish a shift in work, and am currently in love with the smashed avocado on toast. Don't even get me started on the peach iced tea! Totally recommend to all my friends and family!

Excellent coffee... :-) A trendy, very noisy place with hard bench seating that was not particularly comfortable - but we would return for the quality of the coffee and cakes :-)

My weekend in Chester brought me to Jaunty Goat when needing a rest from walking around the city. It's a small coffee / tea shop with an inviting atmosphere. I ordered a red berry cocktail loose leaf tea - which came served in a lovely tea pot and the waitress explained that my tea would be brewed by the time the egg timer ran out. Nice. Neil C. went for an Areopress coffee, which took a while, but was spot on. We had a banana cake in here too - lovely. The sandwiches and other cakes looked great. I can imagine that the jaunty goat is popular mid week too!

I've been meaning to visit for so long now and I finally did yesterday and I had the tastiest coffee that I've ever had and the interior was just stunning. Can't wait to revisit in the week!

A really lovely cafe with bright n warm vibes alongside friendly staff. I’ve ordered banana and oat pancakes, very fresh, tasty and crispy. I’ve never had this kind of pancakes like this before. Highly recommend 😎😎

Excellent coffee and service, nice latte art too. Light and airy surrounds with good space between the tables. Just personal preference but I would have liked a cake without any topping - it was late in the day though.

A very lively cafe. It was busy when I visited on Sunday morning. They have plenty of tables and a fast turnover of customers, so people were not waiting very long to be seated. Service is at your table and you don’t pay until the end, which is the way it should be. I was greeted by the head waitress who gave me a menu, then popped back shortly to take my order. The operation appears to be highly organised, the staff friendly and efficient. It did seem rather noisy in there at times, with the combined chatter of all the customers. On that score I think the counterpart Jaunty Goat (Vegan) on Northgate Street is better, a little more peaceful even when full - perhaps better acoustics.

We come here once a year as we start our Summer holiday in Chester. This is our third year and we can't recommend it highly enough. Great staff, shop, food and drinks! We had: Chai Latte, Flat White, Scrambled eggs on sourdough and Granola with yogurt and extras. Fantastic! See you, same time, next year😊

Had a day trip to Chester and ended up coming here twice in one day haha. Their coffee is so good! If you are into specialty coffee, this is the place. Both cappuccino and latte were great. But their cakes are out of this world!! They are all vegan, and being a non-vegan I can honestly say you can’t tell the difference, they are so delicious! My favorite was the carrot cake, but their lemon cake was also really good!

Felt the need to express how much I adore the food at Jaunty Goat. Avocado on sourdough with poached eggs is my new favourite on my lunch break. Staff are always lovely even when they are pushed to the extremes and the fact you can get take out in little boxes with cutlery. I just can’t fault the place. Can’t wait for my next lunch with them

Lovely food and a really cute little cafe. Staff were lovely and great to see that it’s dog friendly as well. Good options and I tried something out of my usual comfort zone which I ended up loving. Only problem was it was a bit messy to eat! Amazing looking cakes but we resisted this time. I will definitely be returning to try them out though.

Stun flat white, went just before closing but didn’t feel rushed by staff. However £4 for a pain au chocolate is a bit silly.

We’ve called in here a few times now so that probably gives a good indication of this very pleasant café. The coffee is really good and the vegetarian breakfasts are varied and tasty. There are no belly busters here, just good honest fresh food prepared very nicely by the attentive staff. This is obviously a regular for many people as some we recognised from our previous visit. Lovely!

My family and I visited this coffee last week for a small break before going home. The place is really beautiful 🤩 the decorations with all those plants look so nice and peaceful in my opinion I love those photos!!! The staff were outstanding all of them were nice and helpful also friendly with our small dog as this coffee is dog friendly!!. As you can see we ordered some coffee and tea , the presentation was amazing, it looks delicious and it was ! So if you want a small break or want a place where meeting up with friends or family come to Jaunty Goat Coffee !!

Treated myself to a coffee and cake whilst I has 30 minutes spare. Never been before but it was fab. Friendly staff, delicious coffee and the carrot cake was divine. Loved the little Swan swirl in my coffee! Only thing not perfect are the stools....they're high with no step or foot rest, so you feel like a child with your feet dangling if you're petite like me.

A Lovely Place for Coffee! Jaunty Goat is lovely coffee store which sells a variety of cake slices and other pastries. Upon entering the staff were friendly and showed me and my friend to a table. I went to this coffee store in the afternoon and it wasn’t busy. There is plenty of seating available inside and there are tables for various sizes of groups. Outdoor seating for small groups is available too. I ordered the iced latté which costs £3.40 and a slice of red velvet cake which costs £3.80. The ice latté arrived quickly but I think the staff that took my order forgot about my red velvet cake so it only arrived after I told the staff that I was still waiting for it. The iced latté was really good, especially since it was a hot day! The red velvet cake was vegan and I’ve not tried vegan cakes but it tasted nice, definitely not as sweet as a normal red velvet but an interesting alternative. Overall, a lovely place for a coffee with a nice atmosphere and I’d like to try their other cakes again when I next visit Chester. Unfortunately, I dropped a star because the staff forgot about part of my order.

So neat and clean inside. Welcoming atmosphere. Me, my sister and my mum decided to try the iced chai latte and WOW it was incredible. So simple yet so delicious. Definitely coming back this week for more. It’s our new favourite spot.

What a lovely cafe! So great to have a cafe dedicated to being wholly plant based. I had the chocolate croissant. It was so light, flaky and buttery. So yummy. Great decor and super friendly staff! I will be returning.
