First visit last night and we had a brilliant time. The staff are great, very friendly and helpful. I asked if they had a type of wine they don't serve and the waiter suggested an alternative that was perfect. My partner has a severe nut allergy and although we mentioned it to one waitress, it had clearly been communicated amongst the staff as a different waiter was aware when talking to us about desserts. Our meals were deicious and portion size is good for the price. We will be returning!

Had a really tasty breakfast here not just expertly cooked full English, but it came with juice a pot of tea each and toast, exceptional service too, friendly staff, the premises are spotless clean, I said to the wife let’t Make the most of this, as it is rare to have a cloth napkin at breakfast!

Absolutely beautiful restaurant, staff were lovely and very helpful. Food was stunning and for what it was I think was more than reasonably priced. Definitely come back when we visit again. Highly recommended Only problem I had was choosing what to eat as everything from the menu sounded lovely.

A really good alternative to the rest of foreign restaurants. During the week they offer a:special priced set menu with various options. You can choose between 2 or 3 course, but can decide on the 3 course after finishing the main Friendly service and very nice.

Fabulous food, so reasonably priced, staff so attentive. Luckily, I'm eating with someone who shares, so I get to taste twice as much. Calamari is one of the best I've had, Sea Bream cooked to perfection. The belly pork, wow!!! Agsin, one of the best we've tasted, so tasty and tender!!! Chivken pate, so light and tasty. Absolutely loved the food. We will definitely return.

Very nice food, it's not the cheapest here but understandably so when you get the food. It's hot, tasty calamari were perfect. Service is good even when busy. Allergy awareness is great and accommodates weird allergies. We sat on the balcony which are part of the historic Chester rows. Great view, but at the time we were dining the sun missed us... No worries the view made up for that.... There are seats on the bridge Street level inside and out, an upstairs and balcony dining. Staff seem to accommodate, always....

The serving size is moderate. All food are delicious and exquisite. The staffs are nice. Although the waitress made a wrong order of Lamb Parmentier instead of Fish Parmentier, the manager responded quickly, served the correct dish and waived the price of the wrong dish. 😛👍🏼

Our waitress Malu was amazing. She made the entire experience and was very riendly. The food and drinks she recommended were well advised and worth it.

A good place to come for a special occasion. Downstairs is a cosy little set-up with dim lighting, low wooden beamed ceiling and sandstone supporting arch, in what would have been a cellar or crypt. That's the kind of characterful building we are lucky to have in Chester. There is a larger seating area upstairs, with fabulous restaurant interior design - you could imagine you were really in France. I had the French onion soup, followed by moules with frites (fries specifically), and creme caramel for dessert. All the food was prepared perfectly. The waiter clearly had a lot of confidence in what he was serving, as he was so enthusiastic about it. In fact all the staff were happy, attentive and helpful. Payment was card-only. The prices are at the high-end of the scale, but you do get what you pay for. And there is free filtered water, so it's not all bad.

Felt a bit rushed this time we visited. We hadn't booked and showed up hoping they could fit us in, which they did, and for that, we are grateful. After sitting down we were asked 3 times within 10 minutes for drink and food orders. The food once ordered came out very quickly and was good.

We had a wonderful meal here on a Tuesday evening. I can particularly recommend the cheese Gougeres and the cheese soufflé. Also the service was attentive and we were made to feel very welcome.

Delightful, helpful staff. A little quiet (at 5:15, to be expected) but we chose where to sit. Great food and good value.

A really good, authentic French meal at good price. Added to which, great service from Seif and the team. This was such a lucky, unplanned experience. Well done, Team Côte!

Went this evening for a meal with my partner for her birthday. When booking i informed the restaurant that it was a birthday meal and on arrival we received a complimentary glass of fizz that was a pleasant surprise. Food and service was excellent considering how busy it was the staff did great, will definitely be back.

Friendly staff and very attentive. The food is generally good but seems a bit on the salty side, I would prefer to add salt to my taste. The wine selection is good and quite reasonably priced. It’s a good place for lunch or dinner in the city centre.

A warm welcome and delightful table service by Anton. Delicious food, especially the confi duck bigarade with lovely fresh vegetables and a wonderful sauce. Star of the meal.had to be the almond financier, cooked to order and well worth the wait. Bravo and many thanks to the chef. A***

Really love Cote, especially so because it supports us souls that are allergic to Gluten. Tasty food and great service always makes for a relaxing and enjoyable time. All at a reasonable price and special early bird menu too. We frequently visit and not been disappointed yet, favourite meal is Poulet Breton with a side order of Pepper Sauce. 😀
