Love love love this pub one of my absolute favourites myself and partner love to come here best place to get a nice cold pint and it's not expensive
It friendly pub to have fews pints with your friends in bar excellent good price 🍻👍
Attending a funeral , first visit,,food great great service
We went there by chance. Nice atmosphere. Very cheap aswell.
Me and my brother, bought two pints of cask ale and it was clearly off.The manager offered us alternative drinks at no extra cost, then she gave us information about our last bus home. Couldn't fault the service.
Great drinking pub. Friendly locals. Good prices.
In my opinion, the best place in Chester le Street. Probably because I have a nostalgic link to it... Every Saturday after the market for a few pints with my dad. Anyway, the staff remain great, the place itself still has the same atmosphere, old style pub with friendly locals. Proper pub.
I really good small tavern as 2 real ales on tap and the usual drinks of lager and bottle drinks Good music playing last night on Sunday
Great bar staff, best beer in Chester le Street. Been my watering hole for the last 17 years now and I won't go elsewhere. Anyone who comes into the market tavern as a stranger will leave as a friend.
Bustling little pub, lots of televisions to watch all the sport. Prices very cheap, lager £2,cider £2.20, beer £1.90, very nice pint. Toilets very clean ,pub is well kept and nice and tidy, bar staff good, friendly and helpful. Would recommend a look in if you are in the area.
Good pub, good live music and good atmosphere. Great pub in Chester le Street
Great pub at the Tesco end of Chester Le Street run by Glen and his team. Really good beer at exceptionally reasonable prices. Always good conversation with friendly staff and customers.
Great beer the right prices and good company
Not been here in years as no longer live in the town, called in Friday evening and what a great place this is now. Friendly staff and customers and very good value for money a pint of Strongbow and a medium sized white wine £5.05. Will definitely be back here
Probably the cheapest pub in town beating even wetherspoons! Beer is good, nice customers and friendly staff. Smoking is outside on the street but a good place to have a pint and kill time waiting for a bus or after browsing the market.
