My friend and I found this wonderful cafe yesterday. We had the afternoon tea special and what fantastic value for money. The sandwiches were freshly made for us and the coffee and walnut cake was to die for! Just as we thought we couldn't manage another morsel a scone with jam and cream arrived and a refill of coffee. Amazing service. My only regret is that we don't live closer!

Lovely little tearoom up a side street off the Front Street. Large selection of teas, coffees, soft drinks and food. Been coming here for several years. Karen and Michelle are always friendly and welcoming. The food is homemade, including the cakes on selection. Prices are very reasonable! A cheese and tomato toastie, with salad and crisps on the side is just over £3. And a big slice of cake is £1.95. You can purchase small trinkets near the till, such as handmade ornaments or alcohol free ginger wine. It's a house converted into a tearoom, so there's only about 20 seats quite close together. However, it's often busy with a warm atmosphere. A local business definitely worth supporting.

What a fantastic place😀😀😀. Located just 2 mins off the High Street it's well worth the short trip up the small hill. A cosy independent👌 cafe serving a range of light meals, breakfast and homemade cakes. Today I opted for a full English with extra hash brown, I enjoyed it all, the eggs were perfect for me. It was all washed down with a lovely cafetiere of Peruvian roast coffee. If I could have given more stars for service and atmosphere I would, the girls behind the counter were great craic and clearly knew there clients well. I will be back

Lovely little cafe just up from Chester main street. Tables are small so can be cramped but place is small too. Holds about 22 -24? Jacket potatoes and cakes are a favourite of mine but breakfast dishes are also good. Loads of different teas available. Kitchen is behind the counter and you can see a lot of work going on as they rush to get your meals but as they're done fresh can be a wait if it's busy. Cute little outside area if warm enough where you can hear the birds enjoying their food too

Pleasant little cafe, food and drinks were nice and very well priced. Lots of choices on the menu and a good selection of homemade cakes to choose from. Very homely feel to the place, like going for lunch at your Nana's. Would definitely go back.

This is where we go for a Saturday treat in Chester le Street - for an all day breakfast with inclusive hot drinks. Gently fried egg as desired, pork sausages, bacon, beans/tomato and toast with a side of mushrooms - I don't usually have a dessert but Michelle's home made bramley apple pie with fresh pouring cream is a real treat. There are extensive menus and permutations from plated meals to baked potatoes, toasties and sandwiches for all tastes. All food prepared and cooked cooked to order with a wide range of hot and cold drinks - daily specials, softly played ambient music from the middle decades of the 1940s to 70s curated by Karen who will guide you through the menu and provide quick and efficient service. It is quite small and intimate with a number of regulars who are all very welcoming to first timers and you might eventually - like we did - become regulars too.

Very friendly and welcoming place with great homemade food and cakes. Karen and Michelle are great hosts as I'd demonstrated by the number of regular customers. Very good value for money and a welcome change from the faceless coffee chains in the High Street.
