The food was beautiful and the gentleman serving was lovely. Will definitely recommend and will definitely return. It was hard to decide what to choose as the menu had loads of food on to our liking. Someone on another table had the hanging kebab. Looked lush! I had the liver dish and my hubby the giant Yorkshire pudding with mince. 2 desserts and 3 drinks for under £40! Fantastic

Had a meal here on Thursday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely relaxing atmosphere and the food was beautiful my starter was as big as a main course plate(potatoe skins topped with cheese and bacon), it’s a shame I had to leave it to make room for my burger which was also really nice. I didn’t have a dessert but a friend had the homemade cheesecake of the day which was malteaser and she said it was lush! Would recommend it and will definatly eat here again.if I had any fault it would be the price of the soft drinks, I think they were a little pricey but other than that it was great.

Beautiful food, very reasonably priced and lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Had a roast of the day ciabatta and chips and the beef was so tender and no fatty bits. The chips were the best I've ever had too. Drinks were priced as expected but a bit pricey. It still wouldn't deter me from doing back at all.

We decided to try the Chester Moor out as we were looking for somewhere new for Christmas day lunch and after a very bad experience at our usual place we thought we would do our homework. We can't complain - the staff were very good, food was great and the place has a nice warm feel. We've been back a few times and never been disappointed hence we have booked for xmas day lunch and the Christmas Fayre.

We had a meal here to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary while staying in the nearby Travelodge. Our food was amazing, beautifully cooked and presented, lovely, friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble! Will definately be back soon!

The staff are warm, welcoming & professional, the atmosphere is perfect. The menu has plenty to choose from & it was refreshing to see a good selection of homely & different choices from the starters, mains & desserts. The presentation of all the meals was definitely 5 star! Highly recommend & I’m already looking forward to our return.

Called in today and we were greeted by 2 lovely young lads we hadn't booked but were seated straight away and in a few minutes we had drinks and had ordered food. We haven't been here for quite a while but the pub has had a massive refurb, totally different looks really stunning. Not usually one for taking foodie photos BUT when our food arrived we both grabbed our phones. Food was beautiful, Cod and a Parmo, homemade chips & fresh salad, both large portions we were absolutley stuffed! Staff were really friendly, it's a gorgeous pub and fab food. Would definitely recommend. Thank you!

We pop every now and then, normally after I have visited my sister, but today was one of the best visits Sunday lunch, 10 out 10, food, service, very welcoming. We will definitely be back. Wish I had taken a photo of the potion of food for senior lol wow not ate another bit of food. Dogs are all welcome, which Gunner loves the fuss.

Embarrassed to say I’ve lived in Chester Le Street 25 years and never been in this pub, what a shame!! Went in tonight with my wife and have to say it’s superb, immaculate, clean, very tastefully decorated, staff welcoming, friendly, chatty and food is perfect pub food, well presented, great service and most importantly extremely tasty!! I certainly won’t wait 25 years to return, will be back very soon, thank you.

Recently changed management… Attended with a 3 year old and partner, the staff looked after us amazingly making sure our 3 year old was preoccupied until food arrived. Food was outstanding quality and great value for money.

Whoever the chef is - he/she deserves a medal. The food here really is top drawer and worth far more the prices they are charging. All the other staff are really good too, and the pub has a nice chilled ambiance and is really clean and well appointed

The staff here are lovely. The pub itself is one of the cleanest I've ever been in and has a lovely homely feel to it. The food is lovely and there's a few really good offers available. The outdoor area is fab and again, it's really clean and well maintained. We will definitely be visiting often.

Went last week for Sunday lunch. Never been to the North East before and we had been disappointed with the pubs so far. This is a very friendly, spotlessly clean pub, with cheerful welcoming bar staff. We both had the turkey roast which was exceptional value, swilled down with a couple of pints of local beer. By far the best pub we went in over the long weekend we were there.

Stopped off here for lunch on my way from Durham to Newcastle whilst travelling for work, and I'm so glad I did. Staff are friendly, pints are fresh, food is good and portions are good for the price. Beer garden is an excellent place to enjoy a pint in the sun whilst working

Walked in ( not booked ), but the lady who greeted me found me a table. Ordered Sunday lunch of roast turkey with vegetables and Yorkshire pudding, absolutely delicious, meat was very tender, and the vegetables were cooked just right, I could have opted for the bottomless vegetables and pudding, but when I saw the amount I was served, I didn't bother !!! Dessert I chose was an Eton mess sundae, which again was delicious, washed down with a half of Peroni and an espresso coffee, all in all a very pleasant experience, also utilised the beer garden which was very nice. 10/10 for service, value for money and atmosphere. The lady that accommodated me was called Lynn, and very nice and helpful she was.

Food was top notch, really polished up considering it nearly split in half. Welcoming and real attention to detail on the interior design. Lovely beer garden too! Highly recommend this little gem

On Frida 29th September a Friend and I enjoyed a late lunch. We were pleased to see some past favourites back on the menu--the Chicken Palmo, if that's correct spelling, was delicious. I personally would like a non vegetarian---chicken or beef perhaps--- curry to be added. The staff on duty were delightful, helpful and friendly. Thank you

This was our first visit for a few years! The same basic layout inside but improved decor gives it a better atmosphere. The service was very good and friendly. The menu is typical pub grub and our meal was very enjoyable.
