Booked earlier today after reading reviews. We went as a couple and were welcomed at the door and shown to a table. Nice cosy atmosphere with quite a few tables of other customers.
Plenty of choice on the (3) menus, (Normal, chef's special and 3 course meal deal)..Partner's dish was offered with either chips, veg or salad so he ordered chips. Then we discussed our orders and he said he'd have preferred pasta, so he asked and they were happy to change it.
3 courses later, we left very happy.�
Our meals were very tasty, came in decent sized portions and were beautifully cooked.
Staff were very pleasant and attentive but didn't constantly hover over people which I hate.
Food is very reasonably priced.
(Our bill for 3 courses each with drinks came to less than £45!)
I'd recommend it to anyone. This was our 1st visit but definitely won't be the last.

Lovely food. Friendly staff and very helpful. Unbelievable lunchtime prices. Disabled facilities downstairs which was a bonus for me, regular facilities upstairs. Fully recommend. Parking across the road too at cheap prices.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious and the service was good- best Italian meal out for a while. Only complaint was the food came on cold plates which meant it cooled too quickly.
Been here a few times now and both service and food are excellent ! I would highly recommend this family run restaurant ! Also very good value for money !

First time we have been to Deanos for a good while. We didn’t know the restaurant was now under new management.
Lovely newly refurbished dining area, the new chairs equally as well received and very comfortable.
Service A+ food A+ wine A+ and all with very very reasonable pricing.
All in all highly impressed with our whole dining experience.

We were the only table in on a Wednesday night, the service was of course excellent. We had starters and mains and plenty of wine, the Amatriciana was fantastic although my friend didn't enjoy her Carbonara. Portion sizes excellent, prices good.
Extremely Good Food, it was my first visit yesterday and oh my word. I will definitely be back the food looked absolutely amazing it tasted even better, the staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely highly recommended booking before hand as the place gets busy totally worth 5* and the fact that it's 20mins away from home is always a plus.
You lucky people in Chester-le-street -this is such a gem of a restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff so friendly- highly recommend-you’re missing out on a treat if you don’t eat here!

Really enjoyed our dinner
We had a fantastic meal . The young waitress was soo helpful and accommodating, with a smile on her face that said nothing was a problem . Two of our party had the 14.95 special, so much food and delicious. Overall 10/10
