Our second visit for food and drink this time on Valentine's night. This is a cosy country pub with a roaring fire which adds to the great ambience that is topped up with good service. As per the first time we visited the food was superb with a good selection at ales at the bar. It all added to a great experience. Hard to find fault without being picky! The only issue I could find was the fact it was raining!!

Great place to visit especially in the sun. Popped for a beer in the garden and ended up ordering a roast. Came out quickly and hot. Was amazing. Friendly staff, good beer and loads of outdoor seating too

We went last night for Father's Day at 7 o'clock the crown was still very busy with families enjoying their meals and although the staff had been on the go since 12 they all had lovely smilie faces and offered great service.the steak was beautiful and the home made ice cream was just fabulous lovely evening

Was there on Friday for lunch with some other friends from Aus. Was great food, great value, great friendly and engaging staff. A great traditional English pub. Look forward to getting back there in the summer to enjoy sitting on the green out front.

Had a little gathering with colleagues after work at The Crown, Ley Hill. We don't get together as a company very often as the guys can be based all over the country, so it was nice to get most of us together. The catering they put on was fantastic. We loved the mini burgers and the fish bites, meatballs, chicken & sausage rolls plus the frittata. Thanks to all the staff.

Excellent place with friendly staff and great bar food. Quiz on Sunday evenings for those with enough general knowledge! Plays host to a great annual Music and Beer Festival at Ley Hill over the May Bank Holiday weekend.

Always a nice place to go, friendly, welcoming, good choice of beers. Its good to go to a pub that doesn't blare out music that you don't need anyway so you can have a conversation a joke and a laugh without having to shout or just not hearing what's being said. Not many of these traditional pubs around anymore unfortunately, us oldies haven't got anywhere to go and spend our money of an evening anymore. Welcome back to you The Crown looking forward to having a meal with you next week.

A marvellous experience for lunch today. My wife and I were genuinely welcomed and then enjoyed exceptionally tasty home cooked food at a fair price. A gem of a place and pretty popular by the look of it today.

Friendly famiy run buisiness and with a warm welcome that you very rarely receive now days. Host is overly polite and drinks and food menus are sufficient for many a person. Not a prosseco and fillet steak establishment just good old fashioned pub grub. Menu with great bar snacks, starters and main meals. Recommend to any walkers, company reps or builders alike

Finished up here after a long walk with the kids. Outdoor table service due to Covid19 restrictions. So nice to visit this pub again. Great place that has hosted beer festivals and other events over the years. Support local, these guys need all the business they can get over the coming weeks and months 👍

A good country pub offering a wide range of beers and lagers. Located opposite the local cricket pitch with a nice seating area outside. Wonderful menu, the Sunday lunch is outstanding!!
