Very good pub with interesting décor and delightful garden!
Great food. Traditional pub. What more could you want.
Really good food. Excellent Thai food with really good service, beer is mostly Fullers brands but they also had the excellent Verdant Light Bulb and Beavertown Neck Oil
Plus we bumped into some local celebrities Alex Horne and Tim Key!
Great pub in the old town with a stream running down the side of it. Serving tasty Thai food and Fuller's beers. 10mins walk and your in rolling countryside!
My favourite pub in Chesham. Visited yesterday for the first time since its refurbishment and I’m pleased to say that it’s still the same great pub. Clean, friendly, well kept beer and great food. Looking forward to returning for a sit down meal in the upstairs restaurant area.
The new addition of bike racks in the car park are very handy!
Great little pub with a quant outside seating area and compact interior. Also on the chess valley walk. Did not have the food but Thai which is different
Excellent choice and very good value in a cracking restaurant within a lovely traditional pub. Our waitress ,Lucy, was very good, very knowledgeable and attentive. The hot and spicy sea bass is superb and there's a good selection of beers and wines on offer. Definitely eating here again.
We had another fantastic visit to The Queen’s Head. The service was exceptional and the team couldn’t have been more accommodating. The refurbishment looks great and the food delicious! We’ll be back again very soon.
Amazing authentic Thai food properly made by thai lady chef! We love Thai food and this is the best we have had in years. I was so excited I forgot to take a picture, only remembered half way through :) We had four different main courses, salt and peper squid for starter and some mixed fried veg and EVERY single dish was perfect! Tasty, fresh, properly spiced thai food. We had Massaman curry, Penang curry, Tgai fried rice and Pad Thai - all excellent and good generous portions too. Good service and the owner Dave is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend. We are local and will be back many more times I am sure.
Booked the upstairs area for 14 people for my 30th birthday after the chess valley walk. Beer was great, Manuel was an excellent host and attended to our dietary requirements with effortless professionalism. The food was outstanding! I had the duck with basil and chilli and loved it
Thank you to the Queen's Head team!!!
I visited this pub with my walking group and I want to congratulate everyone at the pub. We were so many of us and the food was lovely, prepared on time and warm. As for the decor it’s one of my favourites. Warm and cosy!
From the desserts, I’d suggest you try the fried banana (see image below)
I went for a pint and an evening meal with an old friend and I hadn't been for at least five years. I had the most delicious chicken and cashew nuts ever. The rice was perfect - I wish I could cook it like that myself - the sauce was tasty, light, and very moreish, and to my surprise and delight, the chicken was fried in batter. I have to go back and have the same again. Soon.
The atmosphere at the Queen's Head was always lovely and this visit was no different. We sat and chatted comfortably in the little garden, able to hear each other without any effort, and with sociable company around us.
Food was served really fast too.
