I had the great pleasure of performing and dining at The Drawing Room on my last UK Tour. It’s an absolute gem of a venue and Richard is a gem of a guy:) It’s a completely unique space and the whole crew there is like a big family. Not your average music venue or cafe. I highly recommend that you become a regular at The Drawing Room and also check out some of the great artists that Richard hosts. I wish this place was down the road from me in America!!

Had the Arabic mezze plate and a carafe of red wine, which were both delicious. This place is wonderful and what it should all be about, a peaceful, tranquil little haven for a little bit of calm in an often hectic world, so thank you xxx

First visit last night.... wont be the last though! As others have said, this is not your average restaurant or music venue. It may be a little quirky but just come along, sit back relax and make new friends. Richard, the owner ensures that you are made very welcome introducing you to other guests. It seems much more appropriate to say guest as just normal customers doesn't seem right as you are treated as family/friends/guests, after all this is his home. Food was very good and service likewise. Because it was a music evening there wasn't a normal menu but a very set choice - no problem here though. Oh and I suppose I should mention the music.... Absolutely fantastic (I already knew one artist who didn't disappoint, but the other Eddy Smith and the 507's - a real find - check them out - great blues band. :)

#HomeToEmergingStars With a playlist exclusive to this place; musicians who have played here, from nine to 73 years old..age is no barrier, only the quality of their original material

Lovely place. Very interesting to speak to Richard, the owner, who knows lots about the history of Chesham. Very tasty tapas and the best latte I've had in a long time. Will definitely be back.

So glad we found this place! We got there after a long walk in the Chess Valle, which was the perfect way to end: the food was good, the atmosphere relaxing. Special mention to the time we spent with Richard, listening to music and chatting. Can't wait to be back for the live music!

The drawing room is a very unique setting and a must see if you're visiting Chesham with a lot of character. Really nice service and makes you feel like you're in another country. We had a vegan chicken and rice and wonton noodles as a light meal. The food was really nice, and really nice presentation. It has a really relaxing atmosphere and lots of things for my son to admire. I will definitely be back!

The restaurant is definitely unique and very eclectic! Feels cozy and I loved to see so many upcicled pieces of decoration or furniture! It is truly beautiful and most definitely worth a visit if you're in Chesham - if you have time it's that sort of place where you could spend a day and evening eating and drinking! The staff are lovely as well! Now on to the food: the VKB - the vegetarian kebab was one of the best things I ate in a while! Would really recommend! The garlic bread was incredibly good as well! We now want to come back and enjoy some live music!

I stumbled across The Drawing Room while wondering through Chesham. I saw the log burner gently puffing out smoke and fancying a coffee I stumbled in through the doors. What awaits you is an Aladdins cave of wonder- lovely art, a warm homely atmosphere, a TV playing the music from the recorded gigs on Saturday night, Tibetan singing bowls, a full gin bar and tapas menu and Richard, one of the most wonderful and hospitable human beings that you can meet. Richard spent time talking, giving me the tour of the music venue, showing me the brilliant acts they have had on Saturday nights on his TV and talking through some of the homemade foods they have on offer. He is a lovely guy and he has some good stories and history to tell. The Drawing Room is a must on a stop through Chesham and it's one of my best ever finds. Thanks to Richard and the staff for being so fantastic.

Terrific music venue with music most Friday and Saturday nights. Lovely courtyard in the summer, cosy interior in the winter.

Beautiful front courtyard, it was raining hard at the time and there was plenty of cover. We had the veggie kebab which was delicious. Very generous pot of tea, and milkshakes was tasty and a great price. 10/10 highly recommend. Friendly staff too!

Lovely cafe, tucked away down just behind the high street. I've been here in the summer before and sat in their lovely outdoor area. Just as nice inside, on a cold wintery day. Beautiful gluten free cakes to go with our coffees. Loved the hot stones offered to us to help warm ourselves up.

Excellent food and even more excellent selection of cakes. Quirky place - feels like you're stopping by your cool hippy friend's place for a bite. Wholesome, delicious food and reasonably priced. Also plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options (including the cakes.... THIS IS NOT A DRILL: ALL OF THE CAKES ARE GLUTEN FREE). We stopped here at the end of our Chess Valley walk and the owner was relaxed about our muddy boots - we just took them off to use the bathroom upstairs.... Like you'd do at your friend's house.
