Visited the newly refurbished grove, new entrance through the left hand shed.
Looks great inside and outside and service was very friendly and helpful.
Drinks selection is good with lots of beer choices on tap.
Food menu is limited currently but will be added to in due time, they have nibbles, pizza and burgers. They also offer vegan options and we tried the vegan pizza, which was tasty.
Inside they have a games section, with shuffleboard, darts and kids play area (outside).
Felt cosy and comfortable inside, we sat outside initially but it gets a bit colder in the evening. The pub doesn't get any evening sunshine but has lighting and a couple of cabins.
Lovely country pub, the area out the back is really beautiful with the trees and seating area. They have an on site smoker which is unbelievable, the food is really delicious. Staff were really good too. Such a great pub. Lots of parking out front, loads of seating options indoors and a nice heated patio too.
This is one of my favorite places. Always very polite service, you can see that the people who work here- like being here. If you're looking for a dog-friendly place, this is perfect. Wonderful garden, delicious, nicely served food. 100% satisfied. I'm always happy to come back.
Such a great pub. We hired the games room shuffle board and darts. Kids loved it too and playing outside in in the woody bit and slide.

First time here, will definitely come back. We very much enjoyed our starters, mains and desserts! Food was so delicious. Playground area for the kids was a bonus. To make it 5* I would suggest putting outdoor heaters on to other tables and not just the two cabins. Plus two swings next to the playground set for younger toddlers / babies. And parking is a small issue.
Lovely outdoor space for those with children. Cheese burger and fish and chips were tasty. Children's portions could be bigger for older children not yet able to eat a full meal. Vegan burger was not nice - eat only if you are vegan. Pudding menu is very small, so not much variety. Service is slow despite having waiters and runners. Runners seemed to be around more than waiters. But nice atmosphere to have a relaxing afternoon meal and drinks.
Why 5* simply because they hit the mark consistently well. It might not amazing but what you get it is flawless. It has been so long since last time I was served a burger with fresh meat. That only deserves on its own a 5*. How difficult it could be to serve fresh food you would ask?
Apparently extremely difficult according to the numbers of premises proudly offering processed food. As long as they serve fresh meat burger it is a winner.I went there twice to double check because the first time was after their recent re-opening and twice it was as good - I would advise to get the one with Bacon though. It has an edge over the plain one. The list is long but I hope to hear from someone else how the rest of the carte is. You also have car park available and the inside decor is really cute.
Fantastic experience. Wonderful cocktails. Sat in the sun and ate a golden Grove burger...just sublime. Try the house made 'captains apple spiced spritz' for a whole new mouth experience! It's like a cool Christmas in a glass. Highly recommended. Ps love the fact your music sounds good and is loud enough to shoulder shuffle to the loo.
Lovely pub. Service impeccable. They've only just reopened so menu is still being worked on. We had prawn chorizo skewers and pizza. Very nice. Was a little on pricey side. Shuffleboard/darts 20p/h. Would definitely return.
Four of us visited for the first time since this place reopened. Wow, what a transformation! Beautifully decorated and furnished throughout.
We pre booked the new attraction, a shuffleboard table, for early evening, @ £20 per hour. Really great competitive fun!
Great selection of draft beers and lagers. Well stocked bar and nice choice of wines, spirits, and freshly brewed hot drinks.
Moved outside to the very comfortable and nicely lit garden restaurant bar. We ordered 2 freshly baked pizzas, which were cooked in a pizza oven and were really tasty and perfectly cooked, and 2 smoked chicken caesar salads, again really tasty + fab skinny fries again perfectly cooked.
We were warmly greeted on arrival, thanked on departure, and looked after with smiling efficiency throughout our 2½ hour stay. We will definitely be back soon. Well done to the Golden Grove team. An excellent value for money service experience!
