Absolutely love the food, service and atmosphere. Every meal we've had there from fish and chips, steak, pie or even Sunday roast has been amazing. Lovely wine selection too. The staff are always friendly and attentive.
We dropped in for lunch and had a lovely meal. I had haddock and chips which the chef grilled at my request rather than batter and it was lovely with tartare sauce and mushy peas. My husband had chicken and leek pie, chips and peas. The pie was very tasty, with lots of meat and a good flavour of lee

Really pleased this place is back. A lovely pub with great food. Food really good quality and cooked to perfection. Table service great as they have plenty of friendly staff. We will be coming back here often.
Mid week we were the only customers, but it is off the beaten track. However the food was delicious and the service excellent.
They were obviously very busy due to the rugby, but service was prompt nonetheless. Menu was simple but belied the exquisite execution. I ordered the chicken liver parfait to start, thinking it was the safe but boring option, but it was the highlight of the meal. I loved the combination with red cab
Booked table for 2 last night for dinner. 5 stars from the moment we arrived - friendly and attentive staff and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back. Thank you to all the team at The Woodlands Tavern for a really lovely evening.
Fabulous pub in an outstanding village location. We went dinner tonight and the food was out of this world and also fantastic value for money. Staff were incredibly friendly and I will definitely be returning in the near future.
Great pub, lovely and inviting atmosphere, with excellent service, food, and drinks.

Food and service were great. Had the biggest deep fried brie i have ever had.
Came here to watch the rugby whilst visiting relatives nearby. Stayed all afternoon, friendly atmosphere and table service. Stayed for an evening meal and had a huge and delicious steak. Very generous portion of chips. The bill came in surprisingly cheap (especially compared to London prices!). Look
An excellent prawn and crayfish salad at lunchtime.
Excellent food (Compliments to the very capable chef and attentive waitresses). Quiet rural location and relaxing restaurant atmosphere. I will not hesitate to eat here again. Do not leave without having dessert. Pricing is more than your chain eateries but reflects in the quality and service of th
