Mythos is a terrific restaurant in Chepstow with fantastic food. I've been here twice, enjoyed both times, and would definitely come back here again.
As you can see from the photos, the atmosphere in this place is outstanding. The decor is fabulous and it's got a lovely feel to it. The only downside is there is very little heating, so last time I went for a Christmas do it was very cold and freezing. The food was great and the meal warmed us up, but I definitely wouldn't try this place in the Winter again.
Customer service was good. Nothing out of this world, but the servers are attentive.
Food-wise is where this place shines. I highly recommend going for the Meze for 2 people, where you get a selection of different goodies to try out. It definitely fills you up and is well worth the money. Don't sleep on their Moussaka or Kleftiko, both absolutely delicious dishes that I would be coming back for.
Delicious and excellent value
First time and will definitely be back again. Great choice of food on the menu - particularly for those with dietary restrictions. Really yummy cocktails. We went for a meze/tapas approach of multiple small dishes (starters) and shared them between us which proved a really good choice. Overall, exceptionally positive and delicious experience
I had a really lovely meal here last night, with my family. Good traditional menu and all food cooked from fresh ingredients. The tzatziki was there best I've ever eaten. Lovely atmosphere and kind and attentive staff. I would highly recommend.

Apart from a few teething issues regarding the booking and trying to make an alteration over the phone where the booking could not be found, I cannot fault Mythos.
We went as a group of 6, arriving as 2 separate parties. We arrived 2nd and our party was found and we were seated with them.
It was fairly busy when we arrived, with all but one table seated. As a result, the orders took a time to be taken, but as they were busy, this was easily forgiven.
Beautifully decorated inside, pretty simply with lots of wood and white linen. Very Greek style.
The waiting staff were efficient, polite and courteous . The orders were taken with a minimum of fuss. The starters arrived surprisingly quickly and were well presented and tasty.
Mains followed once our table had been cleared, and were hot, fresh and once again very tasty.
Drinks flowed all night, and as an apology for the mix up on the phone, they gave us a bottle of prosecco and glasses with strawberries in by way of an apology. This was a complete surprise, but very welcome indeed. Thank you Mythos for that.
Pudding had almost all run out by the time we ordered them, but the cheesecake and milk pie were very enjoyable.
Overall a very enjoyable night, reasonably priced for the food.

Lovely tasty 3 course meal. Large portions, alot of choice. Staff very helpful and polite. My only negative thing was it was cold and people had coats on so we asked for the heating to be put on which they did. If I lived near I would go back.
Amazing food, friendly staff and excellent service. I love the decor of the restaurant, feels like an authentic Greek taverna. Really impressed. Will absolutely be back.

We ate at Mythos tonight and the food was absolutely phenomenonal. The chef was such a lovely guy and did an excellent job to produce brilliant food despite being on his own in such a busy restaurant! The servers were rushed off their feet as it was so busy, but that didn't stop them from being kind, attentive, professional and brilliant. Every member of staff on tonight is an asset to your restaurant, and we will not hesitate to come back soon.
We recommend the burger (yes, really! At a greek restaurant!) and the souvlaki specifically, but everything was delicious. The portions are genuinely massive, and even as people with big appetites we struggled to eat it all!

Did a great job of preparing gluten free food for my wife. Service took a while but they had to cook it from scratch to avoid gluten contamination

Used a £79 Groupon voucher for four, three courses with a cocktail and a glass of wine, although they weren't able to do cocktails on the night we went. Overall a very good value deal. The restaurant is lovely inside. On two levels with a vaulted ceiling, stone walls, wooden floors and beams. Lots of pretty fairy lights. Lovely pita bread was served with the starters. We asked if we could take the leftover bread home and they boxed it up with some dips! Good service. Portions are generous. Food generally very good. Excellent Calamari and pork in tomatoe sauce to start. Good rib eye steak (maybe slightly underseasoned). Good lamb chops. Fries are nicely seasoned. Nice beef casserole. Excellent sea bass fillet. Nice Baklava and milk pudding, Greek walnut cake was a bit dry/bland. Toilets could do with a bit of a tidy up but overall a good restaurant.
Authentic Greek food cooked well. The Meat Meze is good value for money and the Vanilla Milk pie is delicious. Friendly staff and the best place to sit is upstairs. Will be back
