Superb place, very authentic to Japanese restaurants. Fun to BBQ or boil your own food at the table. Excellent selection of Japanese whiskies, which you can drink at the bar with edamame and other snacks. Friendly service. Not overly expensive, unless you really push the boat out and go for something like seared tuna tataki. (You should - they're heavenly.)
Food was really good. It was worth the price. The restaurant decor is a very cool, Japanese/Korean style fushion. We had corn dogs, sushi, katsu pork, sticky Korean chicken and bibimbap. We also had Japanese soft drinks with the marble in the top. Food arrived very hot and looked delicious. All tasted super good. Huge bonus points towards the lovely owner. She was so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Would go back just to have a chat with her! Can't wait to go back.
If you haven't tried Nagomi, I would definitely recommend!
The food is so flavourful, so matter what you order
There is honestly tooo much choice for your starters, mains and sides.
We ordered 2 platters between 9 of us and it was sooo much food. It was so fun cooking food on our own Korean BBQ
Staff have always been attentive and passionate about the food and service they offer.
Being made aware that our food won’t arrive all at the same time helped to manage our expectations.
Staff are all friendly and really helpful. We were recommended certain plates which we definitely ordered and did not regret!😊
I love the fact you have your own Korean BBQ on your tables!
The interior is minimalistic but it really works! We loved the Anime poster we saw in one of the booths 😻
For a smaller group, I would definitely recommend sitting in a booth. It looks super cosy and you still have your own Korean BBQ
I was looking forward to this so much and it didn't disappoint. It was very quiet but that didn't bother us. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We went for the hotpot and it was a great choice. Rather expensive but we really enjoyed it. Had to add the A5 Wagyu beef of course
Great Korean and Japanese themed restaurant. Can do the grill-at-your-table, which is always fun. Has a selection of soju. Bibimbap was decent (egg shouldn't be pre-fried tho!). The kimchi and kimchi rice was really tasty. Eel sushi went down well with our little one. N
Lovely decor and atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. The budae-jjigae hotpot was great, as was the Tamanohikari Yuzu Sake. Cheltenham is blessed for restaurants and this goes firmly on the list of ones I'd recommend.
Had a lovely time yesterday at Nagomi, food was really tasty, that soul fried chicken is 🤤. Can't wait to get back to try more of the menu. So fun to be able to cook your own food aswell! Our host Portia was great so friendly, accomodating and passionate about the menu, a great dining experience was provided, not to mention the little surprise in the ladies toilet! 🤭
Truly unique experience. Will be remembered for long to come as a birthday celebration.
Very good , healthy food.
Had nothing quite like it before.
We'll come again when we are next back in Cheltenham.
We went for Sunday lunch, food was amazing and decor was great but very slow service . We noticed there were only two staff working their hearts out when it was busy.
Nice place. Interesting design especially for anime lovers. Great selection of food, Korean barbecue, street food and sushi. Nice Japanese whisky.
