First time visiting Mowgli and it did not disappoint. The whole experience is great, decor is wonderful inside, service is friendly and warm and the vibe inside is brilliant. The food is delicious, small morsels of bursting bubbles of yumminess so you can order as much or as little as you fancy. We ordered quite a lot being both hungry but also wanting to try everything which resulted in a raised eyebrow from the waitress but we all laughed about it ha ha. The lamb chops were exceptional, as were the chat bombs but it was all incredible, really. When ordering it helps to read the menu properly as the chops came with turmeric chips and the angry bird came with slaw - we ordered sides of both and so could have saved some food and money there! Couple of small points to bear in mind... the slaw comes with raisins - not detailed anywhere on the menu and my wife hates fruit in savoury so that was a big miss unfortunately and after a while the quaint yet slightly impractical "swing" chairs are a bit uncomfortable. You can't just "sit back" and relax, or you'll end up on your a** :D Shame really, as after eating the whole menu, that's kinda what we would have liked to have done. That aside, great experience, and we would definitely go again - but read the menu properly !
Firs time visiting and will definitely be back. The restaurant itself was very pretty. Every member of staff was welcoming and informative. The service was quick. The food itself was amazing! We had the set menu which was really good value.
I can’t wait to go back.

WOW! The best food I’ve eaten in a long time - still thinking about it days after! Lots of vegan and gluten free options and staff knowledgeable about cross contamination etc for coeliacs. We had 4 dishes and 2 sides between 2 of us which was the perfect amount. First time visiting and we’ll be back - just waiting for the Bristol one to open now 🤞🏼
We loved our date night at Mowgli. It was simple to reserve a table online the evening before. We were greeted by ultra friendly staff on arrival and given a choice of swing or non-swing seats - we chose swings!
The menu had plenty of choice and the house chicken curry was as quoted ‘tame but tantalising’. The office workers tiffin delivered too, the tea steeped chickpeas were another one to note. We had cocktails and shared a divine chocolate brownie pudding!
No doubt we will be back… with friends and family in tow too!
It is a unique experience.
The food is absolutely tasty, in good portions. You may think that the portions are small. Well, the food can be quite heavy so don't judge rushly.
I haven't noticed any desert though.
The atmosphere it's unique for Cheltenham, maybe the whole Gloucestershire! It's a perfect place for a romantic dinner.
The service it's great! The staff is friendly and helpful. I like when I see that most of the staff is young and dedicated. There is a long future for the place.
It's an experience I want to repeat soon!

We had a few starters and drinks they were really nice. Only reason for 4 stars not 5 is that it was super warm inside!🥵
The food was so flavourful. Chat bombs are a must!! Great service, and brought myself their cook book. I had more dishes than this pic but was so good that I didn’t take a photo of them.
Sticky chicken was also amazing and actually the fav get more than one for the table.
From reservation to leaving everything was great!!
Special shout out to Liam who was very welcoming when we arrived and Jack who served us.
Jack was amazing and knew his stuff!! He recommended some lovely dishes that I never would have thought of ordering.
All staff were lovely but a special thank you to Jack and Liam, we will be returning very soon and hope to see you both again soon 🥰
