I have loved this place since I moved here 4 years ago. It is like being in your front room with your best friends.

Great place to eat. Friendly and I love the concept of "pay what you can afford". I highly recommend it. 😎

Friendly service with relaxed atmosphere, we stopped for coffee and toasted teacake and pleasantly surprised to be asked for a donation rather than be presented with a bill.

Always a pleasure to pop in and see Jenny @ the Shalom. Lovely cafe ran by lovely people, always met with a warm welcome, and always top of my list when in Bourton on the Water for a coffee & cake

WHAT A LOVELY PLACE SO GLAD WE FOUND IT WISH I LIVED IN THE AREA I WOULD ALLWAYS BE IN THERE.ENJOYED DISCUSSING OUR BELIEFS WITH JENNIE WHILST HAVING A CUPPA THE CONCEPT OF A DONATION SHOWS THAT ALL CAN GIVE.FROM THE POOREST TO THE RICHEST.SO REFRESHING TO MEET SOME ONE WHO IS NOT SELFISH.IN THE BUSINESS WORLD BUT HAS SHOWN IN A PRACTICAL WAY THE LOVE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST WORKING IN THIER LIVES.RELIGIOUSE CLERGY TAKE NOTE.IF WE HAD A LOT MORE RAINBOW CAFES AND PEOPLE LIKE JENNIE THEN I AM SURE MORE PEOPLE WOULD LET JESUS INTO THERE LIVES THAN REJECT HIM.DISCOVERING THIS GREAT CAFE AND STAFF HAS SHOWN ME A DIRECTION WHEREBY I CAN DO THE SAME THANK YOU LORD FOR GUIDING ME TO THIS PLACE .AND THANK YOU JENNIE FOR YOUR VISION OF DOING SOMETHING FOR OTHERS THE LORD LOVES A CHEERFULL GIVER.WHAT A WONDERFULL CONCEPT SO GLAD WE FOUND IT

Small family run independant Christian bookshop with a small cafe at one end ... a real blessing to the area as many Christian bookshops have disappeared. There is a children's room, full of lovely gifts for the young amongst us, and another book area where Bibles and all sort of books are sold, amongst many diverse gifts, including CDs, wooden crosses, bracelets, jewellery, posters, t-towels, postcards and the list goes on. Across the road is Maranatha, owned by Shalom, in which are many hundreds of donated second-hand books which are free to take for a donation of any size that goes towards mission work. In like style, the cafe's food and drink is not charged as normal, it it all by personal donation so one can give according to one's desire, heart or ability to give anything at all. Unafraid to conduct prayers for customers on the premises, and often midday comes with a short interlude to recite the Lord's Prayer, this is a very friendly, down-to-earth fully committed Christian business who welcomes all. A light in the darkness!
