Spare ribs in BBQ sauce were amazing! Fall off the bone soft
Everything else was good
Pad Thai was too spicy for me personally but I'm not very good with spice
Salt and pepper tofu was good also
Roughly 45 minutes delivery time, on a Tuesday
I appreciate them being open on a Tuesday as two other places I tried weren't
Also appreciated were the prawn crackers and fortune cookies that were given free
Happy garden is a great and lovely place for people to explore and taste Chinese food. The service there was excellent and they will greet you with a smile. My food that I would recommend is the famous chow Ming,it is noodles with spices and lot of thing in it. Another thing you should eat is the beef fried rice because it has great taste and the grilled beef is so tasty. You should go to happy garden.
Amazing beef and black bean sauce, crispy chilli beef and Singapore chow mein, the first time iv tried here and will now be my regular! The best Chinese iv had in years
Another great takeaway from Happy Garden with quick service even with England World Cup!
This is my go to Chinese takeaway, amazing food every time. The beef in black bean is flavoursome and the meat is always so tender. The salt and pepper chicken breast pieces to start are always a crowd pleaser too.
If you want a great takeaway meal then look no further
They serve excellent food for the price... especially the pork ribs and any fried rice...very friendly staff...
Ordered twice earlier this week when visiting Cheltenham for work, food was fresh and really nice, and they also gave good portions! Will be coming back and would recommend.
I was here on Saturday 18 November with my partner and a friend. There was no one seated when we arrived around 5pm and three more tables were filled when we left around 6:30pm.
The service was very quick (then again, we were the only ones there!) and our server was very friendly. We ordered drinks and not too long after ordered our starters and mains. See the photos I uploaded for my £4.50 'Deep Fried Pork Dumplings' starter and my £5.80 'Sweet&Sour Pork' main, which I had with egg fried rice. Prices were decent and portions were very generous.
The dumplings were probably the best I'd ever had, no word of a lie! They were absolutely delicious, very nicely cooked and not dry at all. The sweet and sour pork was also very nice, but there was an abundance of green bell pepper, which just so happens to be my least favourite of the bell peppers!
I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the Cheltenham area, and I'd advice you to do the same if you love good Chinese food!
Brilliant! My first visit here after the renovation work, and it won't be my last! Came here with two other friends, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The staff are attentive and friendly. The perfect dining experience!
Very reasonably priced too! Well done!
Best Chinese in Cheltenham.
Delivery is usually quite slow but they are upfront about the wait times and it’s worth it in my opinion.
Food is always good, order has always been right and the delivery driver is always super nice.
If say it is possibly the best Chinese restaurant in Cheltenham. Really good food.
Went there once with workmates and they were great. Also gave us a free round of drinks.
Since then I've had takeaway from it 2 times. And the set meal is really good.
The minor fault I have with it is with the chicken dishes they use chicken cut into cubes which gives the impression it's not proper chicken. Overall good
Fairly average food. Ordered deep fried octopus starter, which was clearly frozen and very very very chewy. I'm a big fan of octopus and calamari and this was abit like rubber. Appreciated this can be a tough dish but this was sandal tough. Sweet and sour pork Cantonese style was my second course, pork was nice and crispy, sauce was well balanced and veggies still crisp. Small portion for a main course though, definite order of rice or noodles required. Was overall nice main. Service was good. Food can't rave about
