Very nice place that’s probably better with company but if not I’m sure Staff will be your friend.
Ambient ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spacious, ideal for groups but there’s a place for singles. Music on point. Very chill and relaxing to have a lunch, drink and snack.
Staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very friendly and welcoming. I was being very weird for some reason and she didn’t show which makes my host either a perfect poker face or a weirdo in its own way -I love it either way.
Drinks and desserts ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great selection for this sort of place, I only wished they had tiramisu but it’s still ok as I guess they’re putting their twist on things -you’ll know when you se deserts. Drinks are good, they’re proud of their ciders so if a fan give it a go, I stick with Pepsi (no Coke here).
Pizza ⭐️⭐️⭐️
It was the ugliest pizza I had in a long while. Without any exaggeration, looked like my vomit from my food poisoning last weekend (see pic) but it was ok. Dough was crispy and super thin and 4 cheese taste were kinda overpowered by one strong one.
Overall great place to eat or just drink. Serves lots of different ciders, amazing pies and excellent pizzas. They also offer an app which means you can order from your phone and look at the menu before you arrive.
Service is excellent and the staff are allways friendly.
Great pizza, I prefer pizza that isn't covered in lots of cheese, these pizzas are similar to zizzi's rather than dominos.
The toppings are nice (I wanted nduja but they had no stock) and the base is flaky around the crust. The bar to order food and drink does get busy but the food service was very quick.
I'm not a cider drinker but the rest of the party I was with really enjoyed the cider selection - 5 1/3 pints that the bar choose for you. There are two largers on the drinks menu and were nice.
My only qualm: I didn't find the pizza very filling.
But I would go again. Great place.
A great place to meet people or have a chilled evening.
Food is amazing and the craft ciders are equally as good.
They also serve a range of soft drinks and bottled ciders, wine or some ales :)
The Blazing Saddles pizza was great. My buddy and I brought our toddlers here for lunch. They can be a handful and there's plenty of space in here for them to wave their arms and throw pizza across the tables. One small gripe was we rocked up at 11:52 and the door was open, when I asked walked in and asked if we could come and sit down, bare in mind we had two restless toddlers and were anxious to get seated, I was told we would have to wait until 12. So we had to wait outside for 8 minutes. I understand they open at 12 but given the door was open and we had children it would have been a nice gesture of her to let us sit and wait. That being said another employee, the slender brown haired girl that doesn't wear much makeup(if any at all), is always very kind and accomodating, she makes my experience great every time I visit. I'll be sure to get her name and update this review with my thanks to her in the future.
Rustic, spacious place with pretty decor for a relaxed evening dining experience. Pizzas are excellent with thin crusts and plenty of topping. The chef is generous with the chili oil, which I love but could have been too much for some! Good range of ciders from further south; the Kingston Black spirit was truly memorable. Sadly no local ciders from the three counties on offer that I could see, which was peculiar? Dogs welcome. Service is friendly and engaging. A fun night out 😁
Delicious pizza. Chilled atmosphere and overall relaxed vibe. Glad I got convinced to visit here and try it. Free water offered too makes it a plus. Only issue I had was a lack of varied toppings on offer for a create your own type deal. Had the garlic sticks too and they were delicious.
Going here was a great idea for a lunch. The cider selection is bewildering to a non-cider drinker like me, but the staff behind the bar are very knowledgeable and are eble to match your likes to a cider. They give you a taste. I was there in a party of three. Two of us had pizzas from their original pizza menu and one had a fantastic pie.
Nice pizzas, thin crusts. Great range of ciders.
Do you like cider? Do you like pizza? If your answer to both is 'yes' then this is the place for you. A cider paradise with lots of different types to try. We always order a Taster Board, which let's you try 4 different ciders ranging in flavour and sweetness. Food is high quality and ideal accompaniment to the cider.
Fantastic place to go. Even though its a chain its still brilliant. Very good food - the pizzas always impress. The cider options are great. However if you dont like cider the other alcoholic options can be a tad limited but thankfully I like cider.
Love it here! With 30 different ciders on tap, it's almost impossible to choose one... You can ask to try the different ciders to help you decide, or if you really can't choose, they offer a cider tasting board. I haven't yet tried the food, but their menu looks very enticing (and reasonable). They cater for vegetarians and vegans at no extra expense too, which is nice.
They serve a pizza with avocado and pineapple...that may be all you need to know.
If it isn't, then read on.
It's a nice venue with a large range of ciders on tap. The pizzas are good, with a thin and crispy base and a range of toppings, some more traditional than others.
I haven't tried any of the desserts but they looked pretty good as they passed through the room.
Had a great time here. Food was really tasty and there were good options for vegetarians and vegans, as well as a wide selection of on tap ciders and ales. The service was friendly, prompt and organised. We went as a large party of friends, and when the food was being served they had recorded who was eating what, making the process simple and efficient. Would recommend!
The Stable in Cheltenham is easily in my top 5 favourite places to eat in the UK.
I've travelled all over searching for some of the best restaurants, but always keep coming back to the stable.
Their pizzas are amazing, the selection of cider is fantastic, no cheap rubbish, just proper cider.
I haven't tried their pies yet, I keep saying I will and somehow ending back up with a pizza.
The only reason I'm giving a 4 star not a 5 star is because they keep forgetting the avocado on my partners posh Hawaiian pizza and the avocado is one of the main reasons she picks that one. Kn fact they've forgotten it every single time.
Excellent pizza with a crisp, thin crust. Also had a tempeh and bulgur salad with greens and tahini sauce which was surprisingly good (considering this is mostly a pizza place). Nice beers and ciders on tap and a pleasant setting. Service was quite good too, so overall a great dining experience.
Came on a Thursday night so was quite quiet but very atmospheric due to candles gallor and wood benches.
Great selection of ciders with friendly staff who were happy to advise.
Food was lovely and inexpensive - wide selection of pizzas and some savoury pies.
Had a fantastic meal here. I was thrilled to find good gluten-free pizza (very uncommon) and a spicy topping that was actually spicy! Really enjoyed the cider selection. Will definitely be back!
Good food. Ordered the spicy pizza bit it wasn't quite spicy as portrayed in the menu. Awesome selection of craft cider too. Overall excellent
