Just back home from spending festival week in Charlton Kings. Went to the Merryfellow every morning for a wonderful full English and back every night where we had a variety of lovely dinners. Immaculate service including lifts to and from the course. Big thanks to Ian and all staff, we hope to see you again soon! Ps keep the cloudy on tap

Thank you to everyone at The Merryfellow today. You catered wonderfully for our party of 8. Gorgeous roast dinner as always, excellent price and a delicious veggie option too. We all loved it. The birthday boy himself had a whale of a time! We will be back soon 😊 x

Since my last review, the Merry fellow has changed hands at least twice and has had two refurbishments.

We went to the Merryfellow to eat at No 3 in its new location. Having been to the restaurant in its previous location we were keen to see if the new larger location had spoilt anything; food quality, service, atmosphere etc. It was all absolutely spot on. Great to have a chat with one of my sporting heroes, owner Phil Vickery, while we were there too. We'll be back soon.

Lunch at No 3 at the Merryfellow with my wife. We had a very pleasant meal. I'm sure No 3 will become busier as word gets around. We had the Salmon sharing platter and the aranchini balls. Everything, every little detail, was excellent. I loved the bread with the sharing platter in particular. It wasn't an afterthought. It was carefully chosen. My only gripe is that the afforgato desert wasn't good value. At £8 for a scoop of (very nice) vanilla ice cream and a (very nice) espresso coffee it wasn't worth it. We're looking forward to going back for a breakfast sometime soon.

Went here following a funeral. Staff were really friendly and it felt safe with the current covid issues. Nice buffet supplied and a fabulous selection of gins! Think the current owners / management haven't been their long hope they do well

Stumbled across this place. Nice warm welcome and very helpful staff. Took and interest in that I had to say. Nice selection of drinks. Sat in a nice spacious beer garden. Nice seating and was quite hot this day. Ordered food. I must say I loved it. Mushroom soup to start and belly pork con garlic mash main. The taste was top class. I well reccomend a visit here.

Lovely informal traditional pub. Much improved by a recent make over. The food is consistently good and the Sunday lunch is both huge and delicious. It's not a posh venue, but if you're looking for a good, down to earth pub with good beers and lovely food you can't go wrong
