Met up for a lovely chat with close friends. No loud music making it difficult to hear which was a real bonus.
Our food was delicious and came quickly. It seemed to be freshly prepared, and the portions were very generous. I would happily go back and would recommend this place to others.
Delicious fresh food packed full of flavour, very generous portions and great service. The menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. The sesame prawn toasts are the best I've ever eaten! I've eaten here on many occasions and I've never had a bad meal, the food is consistently excellent and it is also great value for money.
The staff were fantastic in getting me a table with the busy crowd they had on Saturday night. And the food was fantastic!!! Singapore Noodles exceeded my expectations... I encourage you try it...All in all, great restaurant and great staff!!!

We have been eating at your restaurant for more than a decade and get withdrawal symptoms if we do not enjoy your fresh, healthy food at least once a month.

Incredible food and incredible service.
I went in with some work colleagues for some dinner and was warmly welcomed to our seats. We were trying to decide between a couple of dishes and the person taking our order was great at talking through the dishes and giving recommendations.
The food itself was incredible, cooked so well and absolutely delicious. If you're in Cheltenham then you should 100% come and visit this place because it's great. I'll definitely be coming back!
Our 1st visit to Cheltenham town and we stopped for lunch at 288 Bar & Wok. The service is No. 1 from the owner and staff. It is truly warm, friendly and always going an extra mile for any requests. It was unbelievable service. I will totally recommend this restaurant anytime you are in Cheltenham. The Public Carpark is across the road. Thank you for taking good care of the family of 10 from Malaysia.
Great noodle bar spot! The food was plentiful and amazing quality. 👏 The service from Pac and Jody will not be forgotten as they are very friendly and even gave us a spot on their wall of fame! We will be returning back and thank you again.
Another brilliant meal here. I've been coming ever since it opened and just love it. Delicious food, decent portions, very good value and friendly staff that always make time to talk to you or make recommendations. Yesterday they were busy at lunchtime but the owner Pak still took the time to tell me about a new dish which was just amazing. It was crispy chilli beef, but cooked slightly differently to their menu - delicious. Highly recommend, a fantastic independent restaurant and a staple of the Cheltenham food scene.
The food is delicious and very filling. You definitely get your moneys worth. The staff are very friendly and the garlic pepper chicken with egg fried rice is especially heavenly. Can't wait to go back
I have been going to Bar & Wok for about five years. The staff are absolutely lovely and so attentive. The food is to die for with lovely generous portions. My last meal would be from this place - absolutely obsessed!
Long established Asian restruant with a local reputation for good quality food & value.
My first time here and went for the lunch offer which was £12 for a choice starter, main dish with rice/noodles & a soft drink. I upgraded the extra & had a beer.
Food arrived quickly, well presented, good sized portions & pipping hot. Fish cakes where great & my.main course of chicken curry with fried rice was fab. They even though in free prawn crackers.
The front of house staff where really friendly & nothing seemed too much hassle.
Total bill was around £16 including a £1,50 service charge, which I didn't know.about until I went to pay. I would of left a tip anyway, but I always feel thus should be left.to the customer & not added on by the restruant.

Who in Cheltenham doesn't love Bar & Wok? Such a good range (especially important for me as a vegetarian who also happens to be a fussy eater). I spend way too much time thinking about their garlic pepper tofu with udon noodles.
Best non-fine dining Chinese restaurant in UK I reckon. All dishes are so delicious, all starters and main dishes. Starters are really delicious only hope the portion slightly bigger given the price. Main dishes are lovely, especially the tofu was the best ever we had. They do take away too. Will definitely come back.

What a brilliant meal! The covid setup was fantastic and well thought through. Table service, with a digital menu (download their app, but order in person). The servers stay behind the white line and put all your food in that designated space too - a superb idea! The highchair fits over the benches too, which made this even more practical for our toddler, as he could sit between us, rather than at the end of a table. The food was impeccable! The peking duck was scrumptious. The food came out quickly and the service was excellent. They are participating in the eat out scheme too, so even more worthwhile at the moment. Thank you very much for an amazing evening and well done!

Good dishes in generous portions. Wooden benches give an Asian feel. Staff are very good. Huge portion of meat in the noodle soup, might have been better with more veggies. As ever in the UK, the Japanese stuff tends to be done less authentically and served up more like Chinese. Biggest negative is that bathrooms more reminiscent of rural China than downtown Toyko.

Casual dining, always friendly staff, I’ve tried ALOT of the dishes and they are always delicious. The park choi is scrummy! The soups are divine, the chicken, the beef oh I just can’t decide! The satay is scrummy! They do awesome veggie/vegan food too, I highly recommend! We do book when we come as we have quite a drive, and I would cry if I was turned away, so recommend booking as it gets busy!
The best Chinese food in the UK... I had the best noodle and hot and sour soup ever... Amazing chefs.. That was an absolute distinction... Saying it as a chef myself
