My wife and I took my Mother to the Green Dragon Inn this lunchtime for Lunch and had an excellent meal and would totally recommend the pub for lunch. The menu choice is extensive with a excellent range of specials on offer too. There is an excellent choice of drinks including 4 real ales. The atmosphere was lovely with an inviting roaring log fire in the bar and restaurant and the staff were extremely friendly and warming.
My mum celebrated her wedding here at the weekend and it couldn’t have been more perfect ! Nicky and Simon where a delight to have around and help out on my mum and her partners special day, they ensured everything ran smoothly and without any issues nothing wasn’t too much to ask for, the food on the day was fantastic and everyone commented on how great it was! The newly refurbished rooms are beautiful and so comfy, All the staff at the green dragon really made my mum and her partners day special and we all thank you for this especially Nicky and her husband ! Would recommend to everyone
Just had a wonderful stay here as a pit stop on our way to Somerset. WOW what a find. The rooms were of a very high boutique standard with excellent attention to detail and finishing touches. The owner and staff were really friendly and made u feel very welcome. Fantastic steak and amazing cooked breakfast. Definitely recommend.
Have been to the Green Dragon many times now & always been fab! Great Sunday lunch, huge selection on the evening menu, great service & a warm friendly welcome! Some friends of ours got married & it was the best day! We stayed over (only live in Cirencester) but the rooms were really lovely & nicely furnished. A great breakfast to sort out hangovers out!!
It was so lovely we straight away booked another night to do more exploring if the Cotswolds. The accomodation has been renovated to an excellent standard and OMG the shower, my dream shower. I would definitely recommend this place as a base for touring. Thanks

Amazing Sunday Lunch and as a veggie it was so lovely to be able to have a proper roast - including veggie stuffing, roasties and gravy!! The food was delicious!

We called in for lunch and I have to say the food was excellent. A very good choice and a lot of specials on offer too. The setting is wonderful and everything topped off with the staff being extremely friendly and inviting. It's a definite must try, especially on a hot summers day.
I stayed at this inn last weekend for a wedding and it was an amazing few days in the country. I have a few food sensitivities/allergies and the staff and chef were VERY accommodating. It made a perfect venue for the wedding and the rooms were really nice and had everything you need. Highly recommend

Sunday lunch for 20 (10 adults, 10 kids!!) accommodated with relaxed ease. The definition of a traditional Cotswold country pub and, as we found 8 years ago, an amazing venue for a wedding!
Loved it. Perfect in every aspect. Nice warm restaurant with its open wood fireplaces. Outstanding food and amazing decoration.
Full English breakfast is a must have. Rooms are modern and comfortable.

Today we visited this pub for the first time and we were very impressed. From the minute we arrived, the staff were all extremely friendly. The menu offers some great choices, we went for the fish finger sandwich and Salami panini as we were visiting for lunch- we also shared a bowl of chips. The food was all delicious! We then shared a lotus cheesecake and it was incredible. The staff continued to be very friendly, helpful and attentive and made our visit very enjoyable. We will definitely visit again when we are next in the area!
I've been to several pubs during my trip to England. The Green Dragon is definitely my favorite so far. The food is superb and the atmosphere is welcoming and old English.
My wife and I shared the Fish and Chips along with the burger. Both were very delicious and the desert of Chocolate strawberry pudding ended our meal in an exceptionally grand treat.
For those of you that enjoy the suds, there are a large variety of beers on tap.
I had a fantastic experience at the Green Dragon Pub! The friendly service made me feel right at home, and their chicken Caesar salad was absolutely delicious. The crispy lettuce, perfectly grilled chicken, and creamy dressing were a match made in heaven. I can't wait to return for another delightful meal. Highly recommended!
Wonderful, wonderful place. Back for a family get-together meal after having our wedding reception here many years ago. The function room where we were entertained is gone and is now a fairly standard farm style shop (photos on Google might need updating to reflect the change?). We were the booking from hell, changing our numbers a couple of times and some arriving late which delayed us sitting down to eat but the staff were patient and helpful throughout. The food was delicious and good value, catering for all our tastes. The service was friendly and responsive. Far from a chain eatery experience. Beautiful sitting outside afterwards with the birdsong. We won't wait so long to come back again next time!
We turned up five minutes before last lunch orders, extremely hungry and they couldn't have been more welcoming and happy to serve us. Food was so tasty and all the staff were lovely. Would absolutely recommend this place if you are passing through for lunch. We took our seven month old, they had a high chair for us and baby changing available.
Fabulous service, the guy who was serving was the most efficient person I have ever been served by. Bravo a person who takes pride in this important job. The food was really tasty, it was an amazing location. Can't recommend enough. Excellent
Food is really nice, and the service is very quick and friendly. Staff welcoming. Rooms nicely decorated but do get very hot and no fan provided, not keen on the small shower cubicle in the Arkle room either.. Rooms well stocked with tea coffee etc. Had a really nice stay.
Had a family celebration for a party of 12. The whole evening was great - menu excellent, service superb with all dishes arriving together (no one had their meal go cold). Our third experience of the pub and, I guarantee, will not be our last!
A regular haunt! The Green Dragon Inn Pub & Shop has a piece of my heart. A warm fire welcomes you when you arrive, friendly and approachable staff are always happy to help. With various places to dine throughout the property there's a cosy corner for everyone. Ample outdoor seating with parasols is perfect for summer drinks.
The shop is beautifully laid out, with local produce and homegrown fruit and vegetables. With the biggest onions I've ever seen! I love this place with it's close proximity to the forest. Just be careful when arriving as there are some very sharp blind bends that some people speed down.

We wandered in looking for a drink and something small to eat. They had a good selection of food.
I was however rather disappointed with their halloumi started - it was more leaves and garnish than halloumi, which left me wandering if they had at that point ran out of halloumi and so attempted to cut up the slices into strips. That dish was definitely not worth the money.
The service was good. And there was a nice fire going.
