The House in the Tree is my local and is run by Jason and Donna... The only thing wrong with Jason , other than running the best pub around , is that he's a West Ham supporter.... Where did his upbringing go wrong?? The bar is an excellent meeting point for new & old customers with a great selection of ales , wines and spirits.....Kronenbourg is my favourite! ... Every pint pulled is perfect. The restaurant has a varied menu and I must award it at least 5 stars for the quality of food and the excellent service..... I think Jason should offer me shares in his venture and long may he reign!!!!

Went for a family meal last night for a joint birthday, and my boy leaving school. The food was outstanding a big portion, came out quick considering it was busy, staff was polite always asking if everthing was alright. Been here a few times, highly recommend it.x

Personally thought it was amazing!! The staff told us our food would come separately as we order one after the one another- it wasn’t brought together! Said we might have a long wait- we didn’t!! The staff are a credit to the pub friendly, polite and having a joke!! Can’t wait to bring my family here, also go with friends again!! The food was homemade and lovely!! Well done thoroughly enjoyed it tonight!! I’ll be recommending, I own my own business and will be telling all my customers about it!! Thank you!!

A really nice and pleasant restaurant turned up with 42 passengers everything when off well and even the manager had some cars moved so we could get the coach in the car park. The staff were so nice pleasant and helpful the food was spot on there was so much and it was beautiful the presentation of it and the flavour and hot it was a good end to a nice day at the races I would recommend this pub

We had a family Christmas Lunch. We needed three high chairs and the staff made sure we had plenty of room. Everyone was really friendly. The food was lovely and exceptional value for money. Will definitely be back

Fabulous sunday roast. Our waitress (tall, slim, long dark hair, 20s) was friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately she left before we managed to give her our tip but we will be back 😀

It was absolutely lovely food and the waiting staff were above and beyond helpful in catering for our every needs but more especially for my son who has a complete nut allergy.....the chef had even offered to make a couple of different choices of sweets as some of the others had nuts in them. I have never been to a restaurant before that has been so accommodating. Well done to the whole team who ensured we had a memorable day🙂🙂🙂🤗🤗🤗. We will be back soon🌝🌝

Nice garden, although need some wasp traps as there was loads of them! Reasonably priced kids puddings (I think they were £1.75) play area and animals to look at which are sweet. Plenty of parking. Play area is great, seating inside & lots outside in the garden.

First time here, and we were not disappointed! Lovely big car park, a mini petting zoo for kids, and the beer garden was stunning! We booked a table and we're swiftly shown to it by a really friendly staff member. Drinks were ordered and brought quickly, and our food order was taken promptly as well. All five of us had a starter, main and a pudding, and each one looked and tasted delicious! Even though the place was really busy, the service was excellent, really attentive. I had the chicken starter, cooked to perfection, and with a lovely ginger dip. For my main, I had the pork loin with noodles and paktoi, and again, the flavours were beautiful, the pork was cooked just right. My final choice was warm apple cobbler with Custard. It really was melt in the mouth! Superb evening with all five plates clean after every course! The atmosphere was so relaxed and friendly teamed with such lovely staff it made for the perfect evening. It's very reasonably priced as well! Thank you, House, in the Tree 🙏

We used the pubs field as a stopover in our MoHo, which was great & added bonus so was the food, would definitely recommend.

Proper ale pub, that also serves great homecooked food! Popped in on off chance and received warm welcome, shown to table drinks order taken (butty Bach on draft my fave). Food order taken, excellent choice of classics and traditional fare. Lovely atmosphere, food arrived in good time and was soooo good, had to leave a little room for pudding which was also spot on. Can't wait to come back and sample the rest of the menu 😋

A proper pub, service was exemplary, good range of beers and ales, food hearty, well cooked and tasty, I had the beef pie and glad I went for a smaller portion! Desperate Dan would be happy! We will be back, shame you're not closer! Keep up the great work.

Lovely cozy, low ceiling pub restaurant with an active fireplace. Vibes are cosy and strong on a cold evening. The pub part of the building is very small and cosy. Smoking area is well heated, two carparks, the rear car park looks onto fields and has animal pens. The food was excellent; not particularly cheap, but one of the times where you don't feel like you're being conned paying £16 for a pub main. Prawn linguine and steak and ale pie were both dope. Feels like you're in the middle of nowhere which is nice. Staff are friendly too.

Great home cooked food, friendly service and a lovely atmosphere. We booked a table for Sunday lunch and took my nephew who is just over a year old. We had a high chair for him and we were made to feel very welcome. The roast dinners were great and I had the vegan option which was a vegetable tart - really tasty. Food and drinks arrived quickly. Outside there is a play area for kids and there are some animals to meet like pigs, goats and chickens. Highly recommend.
