Was greeted and looked after by a gentleman called Peter who kindly made my friends belated birthday feel special. The two of us hasn't dined in the restaurant before but had high hopes for some authentic food. A lovely lady I think called Caray was very sweet, patient and helpful with our whole service. We had amazing good. Parmigiana Pizza and Lasagne. A few starters too! Burata salad was great. Thank you Peter for going the extra mile for this last minute turn out. Will be back again.
They deserve five stars! We spent my birthday dinner here. The pizzas and homemade dessert were fabulous. Their service was excellent, no pushy, friendly and relax. Please keep it up!
Amazing calzone (probably the best I've ever had) and brilliant service, which is hard to come by these days.
Totally recommend this restaurant and can't wait to come back. The portion sizes are great and the food is so good.
The only reason I gave it a 4 stars for atmosphere was that the decor is lacking, which is fine but I think maybe all the hard surfaces affect the acoustics as it was quite loud even though not totally full and so a bit hard to hear each other.
What a pizza! This restaurant brings the authenticity of proper Neapolitan style pizza to Chelmsford. Everything from the dough to the sauce and toppings was impeccable. We were served by an absolutely lovely waitress who was extremely friendly and kind. The atmosphere was relaxed and not too noisy. On our way out all the staff wished us well and said goodbye. Will certainly be eating here more often :)

& they kindly made me another pizza. Thank you to one of the chef’s Gustavo. Lucia the waitress, Pete and also the manager Sergio. We will 100% recommend and return. Great customer service.
Amazing night at The Taste of Italy. Food was outstanding and the service was even better. Friendly and helpful with a smile and no pressure. Our waiter/server Luca was brilliant. Not necessarily an Italian-like atmosphere in the restaurant, but it was impeccably clean, comfortable & very fresh and well appointed. Superb place that we can't wait to go again very soon. Give it a go! Full 5-stars all round 👌.
Amazing! Best pizza we have had in a long time and we’ve eaten a lot of pizza in a lot of places including Italy and the U.S. This is genuine Italian pizza made by genuine Italians who are clearly very passionate about what they do. Great bustling atmosphere and a great selection of pizza and non pizza mains, starters, deserts and drinks. The house red wine was particularly good. Would highly recommend you give this place a try.
Just had a takeaway from here. Food absolutely spot on. Proper Italian pizza. Infinitely better than a Dominos or Pizza Hut. A little bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for.
Love this place. Best authentic pizza in Chelmsford. Great menu choices and plenty of eat in offers available in their dine in menu.
Amelia and Jess were my servers and they looked after me really well. The meat pizza was phenomenal made by Carlo his assistant chef, Nicu. If you can get the chance, drop in and try possibly the best pizza in Chelmsford.
Fantastic fresh pizzas and great service from all staff.
Children can choose there own pizza with a couple of toppings, plus ice cream is included in the price.

A lovely relaxing typical Italian pizza restaurant, the menu is varied, so much choice, the food is so fresh , tasty, the portion size is generous, you can see your pizza cooked in front of you, the food service is excellent, personable and friendly, the decor is tasteful decorated with pictures which reflect italy and it’s quirks and features
Second time visiting today for lunch. Today the food was just as amazing as the first time. The open Calzone was amazing as was the bruchetta, fries and pizza. Now we know they are consistently good this is our go to for an amazing Italian.
The service as well was impeccable, our waitress was a delight.
It may be an extra 2 minutes walk from your chain Italian restaurants in Chelmsford but believe me it's worth walking to the bus station area.
By the way you just know the ingredients used are fresh and top quality.
Had an amazing experience ….having been drawn here by all the 5* reviews the place lived up to expectations …...pizzas did not disappoint. Staff and service were excellent, nothing seemed too much trouble. It is quite noisy, but then it’s full of people enjoying themselves which is understandable given the delicious food that’s being served by delightful staff. Well done!
We are regulars at Taste Of Italy. Staff are very polite and courteous. Pizza is fresh, very tasty and authentic. A bit expensive but worth it!5/5.
Easily the best pizza I've had, the ingredients are fresh and the dough is really good. I've had pizza in Italy that couldn't match this place. The service was also really good, polite and friendly staff! If I could rate it higher I would, my new favorite Italian 👍👍

Such a lovely restaurant, amazing pizza 🍕 the best we have had in the UK, great waiting staff, lovely coffee. Dont miss the garlic bread with rosemary- its amazing!
