Very nice tea room, very popular, good service & quality of food, plenty of parking & accessible. Could do with a slip presented with menu for specials. Bolt on gents loo needs attention.

We will be going back on a regular basis, food scrumpy, well presented in a spotless venue with good old fashion standards of friendly, happy and accommodating staff, afternoon tea smashed every other experience we have had all around Essex, so this will be our regular from now on.

Service is slow, but once you've seated, you wish you had more time there. The food was fresh and yummy, and their own brand of chutney made my mouth explode. Trust me, you don't want to leave without buying some.

It was an excellent outing at the team room. The people were friendly. The food was delicious. The prices were very reasonable. You could either sit in or outside. The selection of dessert cakes was very impressive. We were spoilt for choice. The Bakewell tart was definitively homemade. It was sweet, moist and melted on the tongue. See you soon.

A great variety of Tiptree jam sold here! I had the halloumi tomato sandwich with an extra sausage (ordered extra). It was heavenly! Hope to be back

Lovely take away sandwich & cake. Nothing was too much trouble for the 2 girls working even though they were extremely busy. Lovely place for lunch or afternoon tea

This is a gem on the way into Writtle. Some friends and I visit increasingly regularly for breakfast and a catch-up. We're looking forward to trialling the sumptuous variety of cakes. The staff are great at their jobs, friendly, smiley, and efficient. If intending arriving on a Friday mid-morning, you may wish to reserve a table. It's popular.

Visited on a Sunday shortly after they had opened. Very friendly and efficient staff. Coffee and cakes very nice although not the cheapest!

Nice lunch and lovely pot of tea. Service good. Will book next time, as all tables inside were pre-booked.

We visit often and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. A favourite with cyclists and ladies who lunch.

My favourite of the Tiptree tea rooms & I have been to a few! The staff are friendly & the food is lovely & fresh which always makes me want to buy their products before I leave. A favourite spot for my sister & I to take mum to lunch. We were regulars when I was local!

We had afternoon tea, but for lunch at 1pm! You had a choice of sandwiches including toasties. Scones with Tiptree strawberry jam and clotted cream, followed by a selection of cakes. You could have tea or coffee and as many refills as you wanted. Service was very good.

Nice little tea room just out of town. Service was very good and friendly place Visited again today whilst out on a stress-busting motorbike ride, I arrived 20min before closing but they still took great care of me. I had my first veg-something (either veg-etarian or veg-an) sausage roll, and I have to admit it was tasty and crisp. I obviously can't admit that to my vegetarian mates... Very friendly and chatty staff.

Service was slow, no consideration to people wanting more than one round of food etc. Food was excellent though with.good specials.

Amazing lunch here. Although they don't take reservations, we were able to find a seat outside and the staff let us know when a table inside became available shortly after. A lovely menu for lunch, finished nicely with some cake. Will definitely be returning and feel sad it took me so long to discover this gem!
