I have eaten inside the restaurant and the food was absolutely delicious. I’ve also had takeaway and the food was just as good. I can’t fault the food at all. It’s probably the best Indian I’ve ever had. The manager and the staff are very nice people. The fact that you can take your own drinks. I think is an advantage with the price other restaurants charge for a bottle of wine these days. I will be going back again soon. Steve.
Always great food both dine in and take away. Highly recommended. Soft drinks are available, and you can bring your own alcohol

We eat in at Omar's about once a month .The service is quite leisurely, the portions generous and the food excellent with a varied menu.

The food and service was amazing. They catered for pescatarians perfectly.
Remember that the restaurant is bring your own alcohol though!

Well what can I say. Me and my partner moved to Hatfield Peverel on 23/12/2021. And after talking to a local man he suggested that we try omars tandoori. As it was the best around.
So tonight on a whim we ordered our food and waited a short amount of time and got our takeaway food. The food was still very hot when dishing up. And oh my the food was out of this world. This has to be the best Indian I've had ever. So full of flavour and such big portions. The owner was saying how they have been here for 20 + years and I'm not surprised with how good it is.

Had a meal with family and partner and couldn't fault a thing. Food was fantastic, portions were massive and service was superb.
Food was amazing. We ordered the chicken korma and the lamb masala. They delivered the wrong dish and when I phoned, they could not apologies enough and it was replaced piping hot and delivered again within 20 minutes. First time we have ordered from this restaurant due to normally using another that was closed, and we will be coming back time and again.
And our dogs say thank you for the wrongly delivered curry aswell :)
Always a pleasure to visit Omars! Not been there for a while, too long in fact, but son down from Manchester and so special occasion. If you're near Harfield Peverel give it a go you won't be sorry. But do book as very small 6 tables? Or try the take away . . .
Love this place, the food is great, you can really taste the quality. The restaurant only has a small number of tables but this makes it nice and quiet so you can enjoy a conversation without having to shout like you have to with larger restaurants. The staff are so polite, friendly and attentive, they couldn't make you feel more welcome. I always look forward to coming here.
