So glad the Snug of High Easter is back open. If you're passing, its a must stop. Today's cuppa with a sizeable chunk of Bread Pudding served up with a smile & friendly chat was just what was needed before continuing on my journey. Thank you Lucy & Wendy ❤️ Be back soon 👍

Great stop on some of our club rides so a cycle friendly cafe serving a good selection of hot and cold drinks and food. Covid friendly social distancing and outdoor seating and ordering. Try their delicious slabs of bread pudding ideal to fuel the long ride back home. Recommended.

Lovely little cafe next to the Lodge's garage. Friendly staff and great food - best breakfast I've had in a long time! Everything spot-on - good sausages, well-done bacon, actually-cooked tomatoes, fried egg perfection, thick toast. Highly recommended!

Best place to stop off for a coffee and cake if you're out enjoying the Essex Countryside. Warm welcome ,tidy garden with plenty of tables and a well groomed lawn. Cakes and Sausage rolls are to die for and you won't get a better coffee for miles .

Great coffee stop for cyclists which is how I visit as part of a group. A shortage of gluten free options and decafe coffee on my last visit which was a shame.

Love stopping here for a coffee, staff are amazing and coffee is always great. Home made cakes are too good to resist 🤦‍♂️

Although I've ridden past here dozens of times I'd never noticed it before tucked away (snugly?) beside a bus garage. But this week a friend suggested it as a destination for a motorbike ride-out for brunch and what a great suggestion. Possibly one of the best brie & bacon toasties ever! Great value too.

Had a lovely fry up at the Snug today and have always had a nice experience there. Lovely little cafe, great food, very reasonably priced, and super friendly staff. Very bike friendly too if you're into cycling. 👍

Popped in here this cold wet Sunday Morning. Had a Sausage Roll -very nice, could taste the various spices and pepper, not your standard Greggs type and a Black Coffee. What I liked most was the range of food on offer (really wanted Bubble and Squeak with Poached Egg and Bacon but needed to ride 20miles back) and the range of local offerings (honey, bread etc) will def be back to sample more.

One of our regular bike ride coffee stops. Good coffee, but not a large range of cakes compared to other bike cafés, however what they do have is good 😊
