First steak experience in a restaurant. Wow...it was nice. Tummy yummy satisfied. It was really a nice and new experience. Affordable cost, nice ambience and excellent customer service. We ordered the Lunch fix menu as it was early afternoon around 12:30. We ordered Calamari, Piri-piri chicken wings, minute steak, with fries and diet coke. Food was great and met the expectations. Highly recommended
I’ve spent a quality time here. The food was excellent and delicious. Love the atmosphere in the restaurant. All staff looked after us so well, and they were very friendly. I'd come again soon on my birthday. Cheers!
The food was incredible. Due to the War in Ukraine there was a supply chain issue which meant certain dishes had a bump up of between £2-£5. It was thoughtful that they informed us prior to ordering. The food was delicious. The only complaint was one of our diners said that her dauphinoise potatoes portion was too small. Well it was in small shallow dish. That said, I would return for the superior quality and taste of the food. They have a good wine 🍷 selection. I believe it is wheelchair accessible although one will need assistance with the very heavy inner door. I'm so sorry I can't write more because I have to go back to a riveting episode of the Blacklist.
What a great time we had here for my birthday the staff are outstanding 👏🏾 the food fantastic the cocktails are among the best I've had although my pinia colada was missing some dressing cherry pineapple umbrella that sort of thing it didn't effect the taste ..all in all 10 out of 10 from me

We recently went to Middleton’s in Chelmsford for dinner before heading to Gaia at Chelmsford Cathedral as Mrs Foodmunkey has been craving steak throughout her pregnancy but it’s only now baby foodmunkey is here can she have it cooked properly.
We had some amazing food…
Fillet Steak
Mrs Foodmunkey’s steak was cooked so perfectly to the point that we even thanked the chef on the way out. It was just the right amount of pink and medium just the way she likes it.
Prime Mixed Grill
Oh my god!
A plate of meaty goodness!
Fillet steak pink and perky in the medium rare juicy goodness kind of way just the way it should be.
Piri piri chicken with just the right balance of heat and flavour
Sweet sweet sticky bbq ribs with meat they just falls off the bone
Barnsley lamb chop, something I hardly ever have but so tender and bursting with flavour!
All served with my choice of side (Mac and cheese which was mind blowing just because I’m sure it was made with blue cheese!)
Not to mention the onion rings and chilli and spring onion garnish, oh and the blue cheese sauce to dip my meat into!
To top it off the service was lovely and very attentive and we already want to go back for more!

Had set lunch today. It was very good value and food was of a really high standard for a set menu. Had calamari to start and a burger while my wife had mushrooms to start and minute steak for main. I have been to Middleton's as few times and was pleased to see the waitress that had served me in the past. Excellent service, very attentive and and will definitely be back.
Excellent service from Alex. Reasonably priced drinks that are served in healthy portions. Starters slightly underwhelming but their key item - steak - was excellent. Could maybe increase the serving size of the chips, but all in all, excellent - I will be back.
Really Lovely place to go eat in Chelmsford, food was cooked perfectly and for the amount you got it was very reasonably priced. We did use an offer from the app, but they also have offers running like set menu, bogof on cocktails but even without the offers I think it's really good price. staff were really lovely, and service was in good time. the desserts (brownies &ice cream) was a let down, and really we should of told them at time, that aside we really loved it here and Will hopefully visit again soon.
Really great place to have steaks. I came here with a group of friends and the staff were really great and all the steaks were perfect.

Really nice meal here on a Tuesday evening so was fairly quiet. Food and cocktails were tasty and service was great.
Enjoyed the brunch and the great cocktails! Kasia our waiter was great and the evening was well worth the £35!
We like the ambience and the grade 2 listed decor and style building and furniture's. Even the toilets have character. Music playing while we enjoyed our meals. Plus prices are reasonable.
My first steak experience. Made me happy about everything.
