Having visiting two pubs and finding they were closed on a Monday my partner remembered meeting friends in The White Hart and, she said, it was a great pub. So off we went for a visit. Arriving in the car park we noticed the number of vehicles, not a good start, we thought. Entering this fantastic pub we saw how busy it was. Not good for us but it proves the food must be good. We crossed our fingers and asked whether they could fit in two more. The lady looked hesitant, checked her bookings, sighed and then said there was a high table available if we didn't mind sitting there but, as an added point, stated that there was a wait for food. No problem for us so long, as I said, there wasn't a wait for a beer. She laughed, showed us to a table and took our order for a drink. Lovely lady, I didn't catch her name but, I think, she may have been the Landlady. Service was brilliant, fast, friendly. We ordered a starter then one of their roasts. Choice of Pork, Turkey, Two cuts of Beef all with the usual accompaniments and also with a massive Yorkshire and delicious veggies. Those roast potatoes were 'something else' with a slight hint of added herbs. When the bill arrived it showed why the pub was packed out. Two for one on most days of the week. Monday was two for one roast, so the cost for the roast for both of us was £12.95.
Tip, which I will stick to from now on. Make a booking.
Great pub, fab food, nice décor, friendly, fast service. A definite 5 star award comes from me. Thank you everyone, not forgetting the kitchen staff.
This is the third time I have been for lunch and each time it has been a very good experience. Lunch menu has many of the things you would expect, but they are all delivered to a very high standard. (I had the burger which was well cooked and served on a brioche bun)The pork crackling 'nibbles', albeit probably not the healthiest option, are great. Service is good and the beer and wine selection very good. Makes a welcome change from the high street chain pubs.
Our first visit (won't be our last) was very good. Three of us came for lunch, we all had Cod and Chips, it was hot, well cooked and a very large piece of Cod. The pub/restaurant was very nicely decorated, spacious and very clean. A very good selection of drinks. Check their website, I think they do offers on their food, daily. Our meals were 2-4-1 excellent value.
All the staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. There is also outside seating and a beer garden. The toilets were very clean.

GLUTEN FREE REVIEW
Me and my partner went here for lunch/dinner today.
We had halloumi with garlic Mayo as a starter to share.
I had gluten free bbq pulled pork burger with chips and a side of dippy drippy cheese sauce. My other half had the non gluten version.
For desert I had the chocolate brownie with ice cream and strawberries
Would recommend and will come here again to try something different.
Very lovely staff, gentle pop music playing. Timing serving, great presentation of food and the bacon and blue cheese burger I had was out of this world good.
Baking hot Sunday afternoon, we decided to pop out to the countryside for a light bite to eat.
Most pubs in the vicinity were expensive and pretentious, but we found the White Hart by pure luck and wasn't disappointed.
They do light bites and full Sunday dinner if you wish.
I can highly recommend the buffalo chicken wings with blue cheese sauce.
Heard it was under new owners and thought we’d give it a try. Turns out it is excellent. Very friendly staff and amazing tasty food. I had a burger that was very good. And my father had a roast which he was very pleased with. We are definitely coming back.
We were a party of 10 adults and 3 children, greeted and made to feel welcome by Olivia who looked after us brilliantly all evening. We had various menu choices and every dish was excellent with each person being served at the same time. The other waitresses assisting Olivia also did a fantastic job, the whole experience ensured a great evening for my wife’s birthday. Look forward to seeing you again soon.
Great food and very good value if you go on the two for one nights... had to for one steaks cooked perfect and service was fantastic! Staff always very polite and friendly!
Lovely country pub. Warm and friendly staff Really great ribs and Apple Crumble....enough said..If you need more get the stairway to food heaven...while stay grounded in this great earthly British pub food paradise.
Pretty good pub food.
Always busy worth booking, and worth taking advantage of their two for one deals/theme nights.
This was two for one off their steak menu. Ribs weren’t the best, but value for money, it was £20 per head including a couple of drinks.
We had a very nice meal here on a Saturday evening. There is a good size car park towards the back on the property.
You can either sit inside or out in the marquee which has heaters and music.
The food was really nice and the staff were polite.
There is a kids play area also out the back.
They do some lovely cocktails and other drinks.
Definitely worth a visit.
Just to add, you can order from your phone or at the bar.
Might be worth booking a table too as it's quite a popular place.
