We grabbed a meal here before my graduation yesterday and the staff were lovely - food was great and service was prompt and polite too. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

It was my birthday and they gave me a complimentary glass of champagne and decorated my dessert plate and a candle not asked for by any of my party..... food was amazing and staff very friendly and helpful will definitely be going again xx
Fab food. Great service. Thoroughly recommend. The atmosphere was really lovely and good value for money. Nothing was too much for the friendly staff. Wine constantly topped up by them. Made me feel very special.
Had a wonderful meal here last night. The food was unreal, and the service amazing. My husband had told the restaurant and they did everything they could to make it extra special. They wrote 'Happy Birthday' on my dessert plate, they took our first drinks off the bill and the Manager came over at the end of the evening to wish my happy birthday. Thank you!

Been a few times now. Went with the family last night for my birthday. Food and service are always great. Very polite and helpful staff. Never had a bad experience there. Nice atmosphere and comfortable too and never rushed or asked to leave the table. Will definitely be back 😊

French Restaurant with great service and very tasty food right in the centre of Chelmsford.
We went here for my daughter’s birthday in August. There were two of us and we hadn’t booked but managed to get a table for two in the window.
It was a warm summer’s evening so plenty of full tables outside on the pavement and about ¾ full inside.
Tasty olives to start with our drinks and then I had the Squash Taboule. It was great – really tasty and much better than I had expected. I’m a vegetarian but not usually a fan of squash as often badly cooked or over-ripe. This was perfect texture and taste and I was delighted to have chosen this dish. My daughter had the Breton Fish Stew and was equally impressed.
Prices were reasonable for the quality of food £13-15 on average for the main courses with red meat/steaks/some fish being more although if you have these and add on fries and vegetables it will be quite a lot more costly.
Service was very professional and slick and waiting staff friendly and attentive.
A lovely evening. Clientele on the whole tended to be older although my daughter was 19 years old and wanted to go there for the food quality and was very happy with her choice.
Definitely worth the 5 stars.

This was our first visit to this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. We have been to other cote brasseries before which were also good and that's why we return.
The food was amazing and well presented. 😋.

My sister and I enjoyed a delicious lunch today. Everything was cooked to perfection and the staff were friendly and attentive. We shared the tart tartine for dessert and it was outstanding. Thanks so much, we will be back.
An impressive French Brasserie in the heart of Chelmsford.
We were welcomed warmly by an amazing gentleman Alex, he provided the top notch service from start to end.
We ordered French toast and Salmon with eggs and was really impressed by the taste of our breakfast. The order was served promptly and Alex kept a check if anything is required.
It was an amazing experience and much recommended to try out their menu!

As always fantastic food and service. The booking was a breeze. The food was served very promptly and amazing as always. It is our anniversary and (as always) we were treated to some bubbly.
We love this place and as we can not wait for another year to come back we are planning a breakfast in the next few weeks.

My wife and I dined here for the first time last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We absolutely loved it. A great typical French Brasserie menu with ‘out of this world’ dishes accompanied by the best waiting staff and manageress I have ever encountered. Nothing was too much trouble and they made you feel like you were their best friends. It was a great experience and night out and we will both return again if only to spend the night with the delightful staff. Wonderful, fantastic and highly recommended. Oh and by the way, you must try the Breton Fish Stew, it is to die for.
Stopped for a quick bite. Food OK, nothing wrong with it, didn't exactly set your pukse racing but it's a chain. Friendly staff. Waiter couldn't be bothered. Did I enjoy the meal? Did I want another drink? Anything else I could get you? You know, the questions you used to get in the 90s were predictably absent.
Paid the bill, left. Wallet lighter, belt under tension, satisfied? Meh
First time eating here. A French restaurant and I went along with my French wife. We had recently returned from Paris and she was particularly impressed by the food. Champagne to start and then Breton Fish Stew and Fish Parmentier. Excellent. The decor and feel of the restaurant was nice. Plenty of people serving and all were very friendly. Plenty of options if vegetarian or vegan. Absolutely will be returning.
My daughters and I meet up here regularly as i live in suffolk and they in london, we have been coming here for years and never go anywhere else as its so central for us both by train, the staff are always welcoming and the food excellent, we love it
It was my first visit and I was very impressed! The quality of the food is really high. I had one of the best fish dishes I have ever had. The flavour of the sauce was incredible! I couldn't fault the 3 courses that I had here. The portion sizes are reasonable and although some might find it a little pricey I think you get what you pay for. Nice, efficient staff. I will definitely be returning.

We love Cote in Chelmsford we have be visiting for a few years and every time we come in we a greeted like family. The food and service are excellent and on the odd occasion there’s an issue it’s rectified immediately. We look forward to coming back on many more occasions.
