My family and I had a meal here last night for my birthday, there were 12 of us. We found that not only were the staff extremely attentive and good humoured to our party of people. They managed to serve many others in the restaurant to a high standard which can't have been easy. The food and drinks were delicious, the staff were patient, funny and incredibly kind towards us (as we were quite loud at times). They made my birthday evening enjoyable and easy, thankyou to all who helped last night! Had pre-theatre menu, great value and high quality food. Had the most incredible mushroom starter and chicken arrabiatta as a main. Service was excellent, beer was lovely and I even had a desert finishing off with a latte. Faultless! I’ll be back, thank you. Highly recommended.
An asset to this part of Chelmsford. It is a joy to have a first class meal prior to attending the theatre. The staff are outstanding but I would recommend booking

The food and service here are excellent. Everything came out in good time and was very nice. The staff were also great and even made extra effort to provide a cocktail that wasn’t on the menu.
The only thing I’ll say is that the atmosphere was a little loud. Nothing anyone could do as the buildings round here are build that way.
I’ll definitely return here as other diners had some amazing looking food so I’d like to explore the menu a bit more.
Can't believe we've not been here before!! Lived in Chelmsford for over 20 years and only just tried this place.
Very busy at 6.30 on a Friday night is a good sign.
Service, food, atmosphere and prices were fantastic.
Two starters, two mains, shared desert and two bottles of house red (so good we had to get a second) for around £85!! Cheaper than the chain restaurants in town and far better in every way.
Will definitely be back, and soon.

Had the set lunch menu with 2 friends - 2 courses plus a glass of wine. Absolutely delicious ! And I loved the red wine, perfect temperature, full bodied with a deep fruity taste. There was plenty of choice on the set menu, well presented on lovely warm plates, makes all the difference, great service and good atmosphere - will definitely return. Had halibut on the specials board, big favourite of mine, so hopefully on again when I go another time.
Visited for the first time today. Staff were extremely friendly and quick with service, really nice and talkative to our group. The food was also really tasty and authentic; all staff are Italian or have lived in Italy for a while. Drinks were extremely good too, from multiple cocktails to some big Italian beer on tap, and the house wine that our party of four finished three bottles of, everything is high quality. The decor of the restaurant was extremely nice and cosy, but also stylised to an Italian motif. Will definitely be returning some point soon as this place is absolutely stellar, extremely good Italian restaurant, way better than some of the big chains in the city centre.
Great family run Italian restaurant. Menu extensive, food home made and authentically tasty! Not going to break the bank! Staff great! Gets busy and noisy, especially on theatre nights, but that makes for some atmosphere. Have been here before and will be back!
Absolutely delicious. Plenty of selection. Wonderful ingredients, could taste the freshness. Lovely service, just walked in with no reservation. Comfortable atmosphere and decor. Best meal of our trip from Canada so far! Highly recommend!
Earlier this month, we had our post-wedding celebration here, and the front of house, Constantine and his colleague, were attentive and made sure all of us were looked after. Shoutout to Constantine for going the extra mile offering assistance with our table plan/decoration and party favours. To top it off, the food was great.
Me and my mates came here as we chose a random place, and it was great. The staff were super friendly, the food was really nice and the prices were very reasonable. Definitely recommend as there's a nice ambience.
Just had our works Christmas do here. Heartily reccommend this place. The food was excellent along with the service. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. Would happily return in the future.

We were delayed getting there do to our car breaking down but they told us we could turn up any time and they would have a table for us. So accommodating and made us very welcome. Food was delicious.
The food was excellent. I would highly recommend it. We all really enjoyed our meals especially the desserts . We were surprised how reasonable it was too. Will definitely go again.
Lovely place to eat if your going to the theatre. They have a pre theatre menu which is not expensive. I had a pizza and dont like tomato sauce and they kindly let me have a pizza without the sauce. Goid value. Would highly recommend x
First visit today with my husband very impressed, the food was amazing and served piping hot, staff were very friendly and attentive, generous portion sizes will definitely be visiting again very soon.

Hidden gem with good food wine vibe & price
Really delicious- had the fried mozzarella and a vegetarian lasagne thing (asked and they said they could swap one of the meat ones for some spinach and cheese- very nice of them.
