Sunday Lunch today with the family was spot on. Lovely pub, female staff very friendly but the bloke looked a right miserable sod.
But well worth a visit.
Our band, Sonic Waves, play there regularly. It's a great pub, lovely landlord and staff.
Just had a great meal, staff more than friendly and the new decor looks great. Definately coming back the chicken crock pot was immense
Fantastic food, ale and atmosphere. There are 10 different ales to choose from. Not forgetting the 5 different lagers. The food specials menu change every week. Lovely friendly staff.

We went in today 4 adults 3 children, we were greeted, seated amd chatting to the staff within 2 minutes.
High chairs bought over to us at the table. The young waitress was chatting tot he kids.
The children's meals were fantastic prices and quality.
The Sunday roast were all fresh and tasty.
We most certainly will be back.

Easily one of the best pubs I've been to in a long while. Really friendly staff. Great food. Great atmosphere, great customers. Plenty of staff behind the bar and never had to wait more than 3 minutes for a drink.

Came along for the wife's birthday with my two son the food and drinks are excellent value and the staff make you feel very welcome thanks to Liz for sorting everything out will definitely come again in the near future.
Clean great place. they're always ready to serve and the food is delicious the staff team are really polite will do anything for you.
Lovely pub. Didn’t eat there but ale selection is very good. Service was a bit slow but largely due to short staffing. Will come back do it again!
2023 update. Been coming here with Casta for 40 years. (Oddly I have only known him for 20.) Very popular locals pub. Can be hard to navigate past them when going to and from the bar. Good real ale selection from Hydes and their offshoot micro breweries. Beer garden to front and side. Few too many TV's for me. Currently on a high since Liz took over in 2021 following the latest refurb. Food greatly improved. Gets really busy, hardly ever totally quiet. On the downside (for me) people can reserve tables...esp Saturday evening and Sunday lunch.

I love this place perhaps seeing it as a tourist colours my opinion but the food is more than edible and the beer is delicious. The Pub is busy in such a way that it creates a sense of warmth and fullness without creating long waits at the bar. I felt like I had a chance to be part of the community here and I will always be grateful for it!
We were there for a pub quiz night. A lot of fun while enjoying a tasty beer.
Going to be my local. In the next week or so. Ive not been in the pub for at least 30 years when my gran was banned when she was 80 for drinking a litre bottle of gin with a 90yrs old friend and only paying for the tonic. Fantastic memories. The staff were great a lovely pint of Stella and fish and chips which was also great and very quick service. Highly recommended.
