Evening meal
While visiting Cheadle we asked a local where to go for a good meal, we were recommended the Aamchi. Well we were not disappointed in any way. Although the restaurant was very busy they greeted us with a big welcome and made room for us. Reading through the menu I wanted to order everything and if I was a local I would have to go every day until I had tried everything. The smell of the food being cooked was amazing. Our popadoms arrived fresh tasty and quirky. The starters lamb chops and chilli chicken cooked in street food style, they were so good, tasty and a fairly big portion. The main currys, rice and naan the flavours were awesome. We are back in Cheadle this weekend and have booked a table as I cant wait to eat there again. I highly recommend this restaurant it is different to your normal Indian restaurant.
A mouth watering dish served by this place. Do book your table before you go, as it tends to get busier. Expect to have smaller portions for their starters and a decent portion for the mains. All in all a great experience.
Had a fabulous brunch at Aamchi Mumbai. Very friendly, warm welcome with brilliant service. Food was delicious and authentic, lots to choose from and the cocktails were amazing too. A lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon. We’ll be retuning for sure. Thank you! 🍽️🍹
Wow... the Aamchi Mumbai Chicken was so tasty, the garlic naan was great too. Everyone in our group enjoyed the food and we will be back. Fresh and hot food. My only slight gripe is that we were asked a lot while eating if everything was OK, and did we need drinks. Its nice to have attentive staff but it was a bit much from all of them! Bit overall we really enjoyed the meal and we were not rushed at all
As soon as we arrived, we were made to feel at home and shown to our table. The staff were really friendly and checked in to make sure everything was okay.
I had the Tawa Chicken with pilau rice and the peshwari naan. I would recommend sharing the rice and naan with someone as you get too much for one person! The meal was delicious and it was topped off with a Sizzling Chocolate Brownie. You definitely leave full and in need of a lie down. I'll be coming again.
We had a prawn stater, lamb curries for main - were absolutely delicious! Great service and atmosphere, and on top of all - a gorgeous henna tattoo for free!
Great service from Yesha and her team. Dosa and lamb chops were out of this world. We will definitely be returning again.
Amazing service. We ordered food for a family party for 30 people. The food was incredible and came on time. They also did the order last minute. Will defiantly use again!
Very good service, great selection of street food options. Pani puri was tasty as was the chilli chicken. I really enjoyed the lamb in the railway lamb also had a nice kick to it.
Amazing food mouth watering services , feels like home food!! Made with pure joy and love! Do visit the place.. for the best food and best time. Lovely delicious hot lip smacking food served! ♥️
Hands down the best Indian food you can have! Incredible selection of authentic food, friendly staff and really quick service. 10/10 would recommend to anyone
This place is awesome in terms of service and ambience. We had an extremely cooperative host named Rahul. The drinks tasted fantastic although the starters and main course lacked quantity. But they made up for it and gave us a complimentary dessert. Props to the team and their efforts which made us leave this restaurant with a smile 😀.
Lovely venue with a fresh and clean interior. Good ambience and the staff were very polite and helpful. Plenty of vegan options for us, and everything was clearly marked as such on the menu. Looking forward to the next visit already, the Baingan Bartha was particularly smoky and tasty 👍
Excellent Service, Ambience and friendly staff - reccomended

I have to start by saying how the staff are always smiling. They're friendly and have some great recommendations.
Moving onto the food, we ordered the chaat platter, chilli paneer and prawns from the tandoor/clay oven.
I was disappointed by the paani Puri - it lacked the tang and explosion of taste you expect, instead it had a very bland and lacked flavour. However the rest of the items on the platter were absolutely fabulous!! Fresh, crunchy, tangy, tasty, flavourful. Everything you expect from a chaat platter. I could have ordered another 2 (without the paani Puri)
The chilli paneer was one of the best I've had!
The tandoor / clay oven prawns were perfectly cooked and had the right amount of 'tandoor' taste however the marinate / flavour was lacking.
Mains - veg Kolhapuri.... Oh my gosh!!!! No words can describe how amazing this was and how is it was possible to make veg taste like it did!!! It was absolutely divine!!! We ate it with garlic naan, that too was fab.. it was rolled to the right thinness and had the absolute perfect amount of garlic and butter!! An absolute treat. I should mention as we ate others sat around us on other tables just couldn't stop complementing the foods they had ordered! So I'm definitely going back to taste the other items!
Desserts - gulab jamun and pistachio kulfi ... At first glance the gulab jaman looked lost in the bowl it was presented in, the syrup was way too thin and the 2 balls were too small. However, the taste.... I don't think I've had better. Some improvement required in the presentation and with the syrup .. but the taste 5/5 .. amazing!
The pistachio kulfi - I expect frozen... But ... We couldn't dig in... Waited almost 25/30mins for it to soften ... Once it did once again the taste was everything you expect... Another 5/5. However does require some thinking to ensure the customer doesn't leave with a brain freeze instead of the flavoursome taste.
We enjoyed multiple drinks including mango lassi, lemonade and mint tea all of which were fab.. even the mango lassi was the perfect consistency however it comes with ice which when melted affects the taste of the lassi (server should ask if the customer would like or not - I wasn't given an option)
I'm going back!! And I definitely recommend!!
Great taste, especially the dessert- no words to define my feelings.
We had ordered Dahi Puri which was not upto the mark.
Except this, we had ordered Paneer sizzler, Wada Pav and Pav Bhaji. Excellent taste 👌
Paneer were very soft, I really liked it.
Then we had ordered Dessert Platter, which had Carrott Halwa, Rasmalai, Gulab Jamun and Kulfi. Mind blowing dessert.
We had repeated Kulfis and Rasmalai.
The only bad thing,Not Exactly but what I felt is, about Aamchi Mumbai is it's closing time ⏲️ at 10pm.
You can order anything from the menu and you won't regret I believe.
I'll visiting again soon.
Thanks 🙏
