Just what Cheadle Hulme needed.Great atmosphere, well worth a visit. Good beers and quality wine. However I would recommend to give the toffee vodka a go, delicious!

A great real ale bar, the location is perfect for the train station. The staff and regulars were very friendly and we had a good laugh at how well hidden the toilets are! The choice of beer is excellent and there is something to meet everyone's taste with a good variety of local beers on offer too. The outdoor seating is a great touch and was handy on our visit with the pub being full inside when we arrived. Will most certainly visit again when we are in the area.

Best pub in Cheadle Hulme. Same brilliant beer as the best (a.k.a. least bad) bar in Bramhall. Fantastic ambiance built up by Bob, Mary, staff and all the regulars. Reasonable prices for cask beer (Cf other places in the posh suburbs). Also a selection of ludicrously over-priced keg beers – I approve, hopefully the prices might deter people from drinking the ghastly stuff ?) Good to frequently see extreme under-age drinking. Sometimes 17+ years under age (better seen than heard of course). It’s also a very dog friendly pub. Known to most as either “The Tap” or “The Chiv” the pub is fortunate to have excellent premises and location.

Emma let me charge my e-bike battery- many thanks for this. Have a beer tapas of three thirds of cask ale and why not have a suite of three pies too- pork, balti, cheese and onion. All can be served with a variety of chutney- excellent sweet tomato, mango is good but scotch bonnet I expected hotter. Excellent craft offer- some keg offers are clearly puddings in a glass like some beery Harry Potter sweet shop. Would go again. Locals say with jest that I was better asking Emma than Bob who is a tight wad- much laughter- they clearly love him dearly- very much deserved CAMRA award. If you are interested- I kept it local with my thirds. A Bollington Best was sandwiching a Red Willow Wreckless then another Bollington- this time a Long Hop- I could easily have a pint of each- gorgeous! Ps. Very very handy for the train station

Everytime I'm in Cheadle Hulme seeing family I somehow end up here at some point! It's such a warming place to enjoy a good beer! They have a great selection with regular changes! The staff are lovely and they are helpful if you're not sure what to pick..

Great little (and it really is tiny) real ale pub. Nice selection of varying and well kept beers. Pork pies if you're quick enough (you figure out if they're nice from that). Good selection of spirits too, wines are limited, but let's it, that's not why you go to a real ale pub. Did I mention that it's small though? It can get full very easily. By far the best pub in the middle of Cheadle Hulme if you want real ale though.
