I had a fantastic lunch today. Even though I'm a pesky vegan the staff couldn't have been more helpful and offered to adapt several choices from the menu for me. Delicious risotto, thank you x
Beautiful food and wonderful ambience - top class gin and and prosecco too!! We've been here both on our own of an evening for a romantic meal and also in the day with our two young kids and it's been great every time. Would highly recommend!
My husband and I had a rare opportunity to eat out without the children this evening, we had heard great things about this quaint little country pub and we were defiantly not disappointed. We were greeted with a very warm and friendly welcome, shown straight to our seats after ordering our first drink at the bar (Malfy Blood Orange Gin is now a fav)! The food was absolutely stunning, so many flavours and cooked perfectly. I can highly recommend the Fox & Hounds if you haven’t already sampled their exquisite food (and gin).
Absolutely delicious meal with friends. The menu was interesting and the selection of gin amazing! We will definitely be back and would hesitate to recommend to others.

We popped in to this charming pub on our way home and wow so happy we did. The food was amazing, perfectly seasoned, generous portions and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pub is beautiful. We wish we lived closer!
Popped in for a nice midweek dinner at our local & enjoyed the summery options of sea bass and pea & asparagus risotto, washed down with a good pint of IPA and a glass of rosé. Starters of goat cheese salad and salt & pepper squid were tasty too. We didn't have room to try the desserts... next time perhaps.

We chanced by the Pub and pleased we did. It is a charming place both inside and out with tasteful decor, comfy seating and a spacious restaurant. Everything was clean and tidy including quite elegant washrooms. Our hostess, Mindy, was very charming and attentive and nothing was too much trouble for her and the staff team. The bar was well stocked with various lagers, ciders, Guiness but no real ales on show. A good range of spirits also. We chose to eat as the menu offered us teasing choices, limited, yes but this establishment is only 7 weeks old so a sensible way to introducing itself without stretching its resources. We went for the seafood and fish sharing board with dips, garni, dips and charred bread and we were very pleased with this a starter. My wife had the buttermilk chicken burger with triple cooked fat chips, delicious. I went for the King Prawn Linguine however found it a bit bland. Mindy offered a different course but to be fair it wasn't that poor as it is a common theme for these dishes to have an overpowering tomato presence. I prefer a more concentrated base of garlic and white wine but maybe others don't. The meal was accompanied by a well priced and refreshing Spanish Rose served in an ice bucket. Lovely. The Pub runs themed dining evenings and a shame a Curry night wasn't within our visiting dates. We do recommend this friendly hostelry and sincerely hope it succeeds in delivering a valued resource to the community. It has made a great start in our eyes!
Delicious burgers and desserts on Halloween. The team had put so much effort in to making it a fun night. Great pub 😊

Cozy historic pub hidden in the fields. The owners are friendly and they truly care about the service. Check the roast beef on a Sunday. Excellently made!
Enjoyed a fantastic lunch at the Fox and hounds celebrating my Husband's Fiftieth birthday. Excellent menu - pitched the perfect side of 'fine dining' without being too scary. The 'pre-prandial' oysters (available Fri - Sun) were some of the best we've had - a real achievement this far from the coast! The home cured bacon joint was also a 'stand out' Sunday Lunch offering! I'd mentioned it was a birthday celebration in my booking notes and we weren't disappointed. Prosecco on arrival and a specially presented dessert - our lovely waitress even sang happy birthday! We did feel the restaurant deco / layout could do with making a little cosier / intimate but just a very small point in what was a fantastic dining experience. Can't wait to come back and feel lucky to have a restaurant of this quality on our doorstep. Thank you X
Came here for lunch with my parents. Absolutely fantastic pub. Great selection of beers, wines and spirits. The food was amazing, super fresh and great quality. I would recommend and I can't wait to come back.
Gastropub with a varied menu and welcoming staff. Food was great and not overpriced but portions on the small size. Couple of artisan draft beers on tap, which were OK but a standard draft bitter would’ve been nice.
We stopped by for lunch on the off-chance and were delighted by the friendly welcome and excellent food. Ample parking too. Hope to be passing by again so we can enjoy another visit.
Fabulous roast dinner and such a friendly welcome from all the team. Thank you for having us and accommodating our dogs too, and letting my husband watch the rugby...nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back.
Friendly pub, excellent beer and the best pub lunch I have had in some time. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Chocolate box country pub. We visited on a Thursday evening, and the bar was lively. They have a hood selection of draught beers/cuders/lager. The restaurant was not busy. Only 3 tables occupied (including ours). It was a shame because it meant there was no atmosphere. The food is top quality, country style menu options (rabbit and venison) plus more traditional dishes. Expertly cooked and presented. Our waitress was lovely, very friendly. We had soup to start, and the portion was big. We have small appetites so unfortunately we were too full to do full justice to our mains. That is totally down to our poor choices. We would come back.
