Found this nice Inn on way into Charmouth, soon went in staff friendly and welcoming. Partner ordered pint of Ale 200 and instantly liked it. Really clean and tidy inside and outside. Lovely views out front with few tables and chairs outside. Plenty of seating inside. They fully booked yesterday 14/
Lovely little pub, great to visit for a drink. Book ahead for dinner as they're almost always packed - for good reason! The food is absolutely delicious and wouldn't be out of place in a fancy restaurant, particularly the specials.
I ate here on a Saturday night and I was thrilled to find that they have a whole gluten free menu already ready to go with plenty of options, including classic pub dishes that ordinarily I would never be able to eat like fish and chips or scampi! They also have a designated vegetarian/vegan menu wit
This is a lovely old pub, with a fine selection of beers and lovely cider. Outside seating or plenty more inside.
We didn't eat but the menu looked good.
Lovely little pub on the main road down into Charmouth. If you're lucky, you might score parking on the road nearby, if not you have to find a little road further up/down to park up and make your way there.
Great food although took a little while to be served. Friendly staff though and just a prett
Fantastic, very welcoming & friendly! The food is first class, with a regular menu & daily specials board. It’s very dog friendly, however if you prefer to eat without dogs around you, they have a dog free dining room. There is access to the dining room through the pub or an accessible door from out
Nice location, great food. Highly recommend the ploughman’s!
Service could have been a bit warmer but generally a nice country pub.
Great pub whether you want to eat or just have a drink. Warm welcome and very professional staff. Very dog friendly.
Good vegetarian and vegan options always on the menu.
We had 2 fantastic meals here, once in the week and a Sunday roast.
The food was absolutely fabulous, really, really tasty and great value for money.
We will definitely come back here when we come back to this area.
Highly recommended!
Always fabulous food, service and dog friendly .we have literally eaten our way through the menu, recommended is the burger ,pork belly mussles and when in season the faggots.
Just good old fashion hospitality in a beautiful Dorset village. Well done Tom chloe and the team 👏
This is a superb local pub in the lovely costal village of Charmouth. Tom and Chloe are fantastic hosts who provide a warm welcome and excellent customer service for all visitors
The pub is not large but has a good number of tables to accommodate all size groups. Dogs are welcome
The food at the O
A really lovely pub that was clean and welcoming. The staff were friendly and efficient. The menu for us was a bit pricey so we went for the cheapest thing, which was a burger and chips.
Booked a table prior as we have a golden retriever so needed some space - as soon as we walked in I knew it was a lovely pub - staff very helpful and friendly, fantastic food and a great atmosphere - will definitely be visiting next time we are in the area. Highly recommend this pub.
Just had Sunday lunch at The Royal Oak. Lovely experience. Friendly, attentive staff. Delicious food - good portions too. Booked for a midweek return.
We ate here after a walk from Lyme Regis. We ordered the Ploughman’s, nachos, water, and a pint. People there were friendly and helpful for us planning to walk the Coastal Path back. Some good, simple pub grub and a pint with friendly service.
Lovely food. Great choice of local ales and good service. Busy pub so recommend book in advance.
We were a walk in and they managed to squeeze us in on the understanding we would be the last service of the night so it might be a little while. We were more than happy with that. We had a couple of drinks and the wait was well worth it. Fantastic food, excellent staff. Highly recommend.
