Popped in tonight while on holiday in the hope they could fit us in and the staff could not have been nicer or more friendly. Food was all top drawer and had no complaints about anything, the band were a really nice touch and really added a bit of character to the place. So glad we popped in and will definitely return the next time we are down in Cornwall

Beautiful rustic restaurant and the food was phenomenal. The service was fab too, we had to wait a short time to get seated but it was no problem at all and had a comfortable place to sit and enjoyed the drinks. We had crab arancini and Calamari for staters and then two types of mussels with a side of seaweed onions rings. They were the biggest mussels we had ever had and so fresh, super delicious and was able to take home what we couldn't finish at the time.

Had Sunday lunch at Springtide on the recommendations of our friends who live in Cornwall. Springtide is seafood restaurant with a relatively small selection of seafood dishes. For starters my husband had the sticky pork belly skewers which he loved and rated a 9 out 10. High praise indeed! I had the prawns in butter from the specials board. The butter sauce was delicious and I asked for extra bread to mop it up and the staff were very accommodating. The prawns were a little over cooked but didn’t detract too much from the enjoyment of the dish. For mains my husband had the mackerel sandwich with a side of chips which he thoroughly enjoyed. The mackerel was very tasty and cooked perfectly. I had fish and chips for my main. The fish batter was a little greasy and tasteless. The chips were actually fries with skin on. The mushy peas were pureed and very watery. I was underwhelmed by the dish. If you are in Charlestown, Springtide is worth a visit. Great service and atmosphere.

David looked after my daughter and I bringing a blanket when it got chilli there find us seats inside st the bar. Cannot fault anything if I could give 10/10 I would. Will definitely be going back 😊

Lovely views outside overlooking the port but the inside restaurant is also very charming. The food was good and not too expensive. The staff seemed lovely but our service was not very good - we had to wait over an hour for our main to arrive.

Awesome restaurant. We even shared the food(which we never do) but it was so great, we had to share or buy seconds 😉. Nice staff, simple menu but it is so great, go, now!!

Absolutely delicious food. I haven't eaten such good seafood for a long time. Beautiful atmosphere and great service. If I'm around this area again I'll come back for sure.

We're glad we booked a table as they were turning people away (Tuesday evening in June 2023). This is a fish and seafood restaurant although the menu had a couple other items, too, such as a cheeseburger. I had one of the specials: mussels in a cream, cider, saffron, and fennel sauce and it was delicious. Our mains took a while to arrive but the hostess came over and apologised and apologised again when we paid. We shared the gooseberry and lemon curd sundae. All the staff were polite and friendly.

Delicious! Fresh seafood on tap. Had 1 mile Mussels from St Austell. Fresh and delicious. Amazing wine too - the £25 bottle of Portuguese white, which name escapes me, was especially worth the investment. Only marked down on service not because of the staff but because I wasn't sure was the sustainability credentials were. I'm like to hear more about their use of local producers, so really I'm just being picky.
