If I'm honest this place has been up and down for years but it's FINALLY back to the way it should be.. Great food, great vibes, great atmosphere! A wonderful pub and the hotel is fantastic too! Would recommend to anybody and the new management Luke and Leanne are lovely and such a laugh - well done both on bringing this place back to life xx

Stopped last night to break up our journey back home to Devon with our two dogs..what a fabulous place..we had a lovely evening meal sat with our dogs. The room was very nice and the bed was one of the comfortablist ones I've slept in. Breakfast was also delious, and again we were allowed our dogs with us...we shall certainly go back again, all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

What an incredible weekend.....unexpected, but incredible. Only booked one night, because it was convenient for Blenheim Palace Christmas Lights, but got snowed in and stranded. They happily booked us in, but more than that, the Luke, his team, and the regulars made us extremely welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend, and will definitely be back very soon! Wonderful place....oh, and the roast lunch was amazing, with the some of the best roast potatoes I’ve ever had!

A warm welcome and excellent personal service awaits, from the ever so firendly staff and locals, at The Bell Hotel and Restaurant. Luke and the team are all very friendly and easy to talk to, the food is excellent, the location is fantastic and the particular room I stayed in, had an old Cotswold cottage feel, but with a modern bathroom and all the amenities you'd want. Perfect. Thanks guys. I'll definitely be back.

Fabulous food , lovely staff and expert barman. The renovations have been superbly done without losing any of the old pub charm. The room was extremely comfortable and nice touch to have fridge with fresh milk not dreadful uht stuff. Only one suggestion would be to have a mirror near a socket for hair drying (seems common error in so many hotels). Lovely scrambled egg and smoked salmon this morning to hopefully soak up some of last nights pisco and whisky. Will certainly recommend

A very enjoyable meal last night with friends in a lovely nook at The Bell. Newly refurbished, it has a lovely vibe, only let down by the staff, who really don't seem comfortable in the job they are doing and looked very awkward all evening. Hopefully a one-off, but they could learn a thing or two from the also newly refurbished The Bull up the street, where the staff are friendly and waft about casually but efficiently. Really excellent heritage tomatoes with burrata, but the fish pie wasn't as good as it should have been

The location is in a lovely pretty village and is perfect location for visiting other places in the cotswolds. The room was decent although the lighting could be better as no ceiling light. Also the room was incredibly hot even with the window open. Room was clean and bathroom was a good size. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Food was OK but nothing special.

My niece and I stayed a few nights in August 20. It was during the pandemic so were concerned about cleanliness essential etc. However, we found the hotel staff to be so careful and friendly. Constant mask wearing and plenty of space for socially distanning at the bar and meals. Meals were excellent. We had a superior twin room with a large shower room. Very suitable. The location was excellent. We visited Blenheim Palace, Burford and Chipping Norton. All easily accessible by car. Would definitely stay again.

Second visit to this pub and each time it’s been lovely. It’s quite dark inside and a traditional pub however a warm ambience and family friendly. First time we went it had a full range of food available which was normal bistro pub prices. Second time it was a very limited post New Years menu (sandwiches and chips for £8) Food still pretty good but very limited - however it’s fully understandable a full menu not operational on 2nd Jan.

Quiet location with a lovely rear terrace to the rear, which gets full sun during most of the day (weather permitting). Some seating to the front if you prefer shade. Multiple cozy rooms inside. Friendly staff and a good range of drinks. The beer was well kept. Food only served at lunch and in the evening - not between three and six p.m.

Friendly charming pub with a nice ambience. The food I could not fault! I am vegan and found there to be some good options! The vegetables were cooked just right and the nut roast was so tasty. I will definitely go back.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Staff was really lovely and welcoming. The room was clean and the breakfast was very tasty although the portions were a bit small. The hotel is well- located but still quiet. We enjoyed our stay there!

Lovely village with plenty of character, and this pub and Inn sitting in the middle was a perfect resting place to fill us up with yummy food. Lovely friendly staff with an open fireplace that reflects a warm atmosphere. Would certainly visit again on our next travels through.

Had drinks at lunch. Nice enough place. It's best feature however is the extended rear garden that goes down to a trickle of a stream that is perfect for children (even young children) to occupy themselves with for ages. Our kids even started building a den in the wooded bit.

+ We stayed in a tastfully decorated twin room on the top floor. Room was clean, nice comfortable bed. Tasty breakfast Large carpark Pleasant , helpful staff - spoke mostly to the young girl doing the breakfast. - Bathroom needed a good clean, some black mould around the shower - the bathroom window wouldn't open which obv didn't help. The way the orders were taken for breakfast seemed the most inefficient system possible. We weren't in a rush, but breakfast apparently finished at 9am, one day we got back to the room at 10:15! Also you got a different amount depending on which chief cooked that day. Breakfast staff could have been more proactive rather than reactive EG always waiting for someone to point out something had ran out, rather than filling it up before hand. Was it really necessary for the morning cleaner to go about her duty at the same time we were eating breakfast? Would have been nice to have the offer of help with our suitcases as we were 3 flights of stairs up - some of which were very narrow. We didn't eat here in the evening as we thought the food seemed over priced. Although we did have a bowl of chips to snack on once - more like a bowl of salt! Overall I would stay again if I was in the area. The negatives are fairly minor and we did hear that the place had changed hands literally that week, so I'm sure there will be changes made.

Great rooms with a cosy cotswold feel. The breakfast was delicious as was the dinner food. Good location in the town with a coop near by for little bits. Bed comfortable! Internet is just in the pub and not in room, just something to be mindful about. Apart from that, excellent value for money!!
