Lovely country pub that we visit when passing. Nice food with extensive menu and beautifully kept garden patio. Friendly staff and prices are not stupid. Limited selection of lagers for me otherwise A LOVELY PLACE.

I use this pub now and then to meet friends for lunch. It'a a little out of my way but it's easy to find and well worth a slight detour. The food is excellent and the service friendly and efficient.
It was a nice place to eat with family and being able to take the dog was a real bonus, only downside there was much choice for vegetarians. I had a burger which was too spicy but it was this or a ploughman's, chocolate cake was very tasty.
Family run down to earth traditional pub, gardens are well kept, decking area is clean and tidy the food isn't fancy prices just proper traditional food sourced locally and last but not least all the staff were fantastic!
A large cycling group brilliantly looked after on the trek from London to Dover. Great wholesome grub, quick and smiley service, and far more tolerance than I would have filling up 38 cyclists water bottles!
Found this to be a lovely pub. We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, and the staff were delightful. Plenty of parking and the prices were sensible.
Best Sunday Roast Beef have had in ages. Full of flavour and no gristle. Grateful service
My son and I were coming back from Reculver beach and were starving, we saw this pub and pulled over into a spacious carpark. In all a really decent pub, service was excellent, barmaid comely and competent, the seafood was fresh and tasty. The £13 burger was a bit disappointing, which is why I've dropped a star, I was expecting better, it reminded me of a Weatherspoons burger. And it was advertised as having cheddar in it, when in fact it was a square of processed 'cheese'.
The two pints of Harvey's Bitter was superb, and they had a good selection of ales.
I'd definitely visit again with my family.
Keep up the good work and maybe up your burger game, I'd rather pay more for better quality.
Cannot rate rooms as i did not stay here ,but the food is of excellent quality, the staff are very friendly. The pub restaurant area has a brilliant atmosphere .
Went for lunch today (17/05/2023) with our friends Lin and Mike who live nearby. We are also Lyn and Mike and we live near Dartford. It's a truly lovely country pub/restaurant with amazing, happy staff welcoming us. So pleased we booked as it was already filling up with hungry diners. The ladies had pie, Mike had fish and chips and I had the Big Boys Pudding! Yes I got through it and was checked on by the lovely staff. All meals were delicious and more than enough...but we did have 4xSweets after.
A very pleasant lunchtime with our dear friends. We shall all definitely return as we recommend this delightful place to all.

Plenty of parking, wheelchair access, child and dog friendly. Food was well presented and tasty, plenty of choice and good value, service was good and staff were welcoming.
A proper pub with good food at sensible prices. Unlike many pubs which have become pretentious, you get decent portions, too. Friendly staff keep the beer in perfect condition. A real treasure. I haven't stayed there but visit for Vintage Motorcycle Club meetings. The pies are excellent, proper pies not stew in a dish with pastry on top. Fish is cooked to perfection.

We had my Dads 96th birthday here on the 11/2/2023. We had 26 people to which was a lot to cater for We had a really lovely meal starters and desserts. They were very helpful all the dinners were lovely Staff great as well. Could not fault anything all the meals came out together and children were catered for also. Excellent place to go for a special meal

First visit and will definitely go back many times. So pleased it was recommended and now discovered. Beautiful garden area with many colourful plants for interest and various seating areas, a plus for dog owners with the vast grasses area and woodland to the side. All staff were all smiles and it was great to actually have a conversation and not just talk about our order! We all enjoyed our meals from the special board and at £14 you can’t complain, full plate, hot and tasty. Well done everyone and thank you for your warm welcome!
