An above average restaurant for dine- in/ take away Indian Food. Limited dining space, so I guess you need to choose your time for dinner carefully. A 8.5/10, excellent Daal with enough garlic to notice. Above average chicken biriyani with an excellent vegetable side curry. The keema Naan was good too. If the biriyani had been served in a traditional biriyani dish, it would be even better. Good , friendly service. Food washed down with iced water, the drink of lions . I hope to try other dishes there soon and support this local restaurant, as I live in Chard part of the time now.
Amazing curry, always fresh.
Would recommend Curry House.
Only a tiny place, seating for maybe 30 people but I have to say the food was beautiful 😍 and great value for money.
We order once or twice a week as we are so addicted. Love their bhuna so tasty and pilau rice is so fragrant. Getting ready to order again and just last ordered 3 days ago. It's becoming a habit but a good one. So good and great fast delivery service too!
Really glad to have tried this restaurant on a Sunday when staying in Chard. The staff were very friendly and our English waiter was charming. We brought our own beer ( a first for us!) as they don't have a licence to sell. The food was fresh and cooked beautifully and we both thought it was the best Indian cuisine we'd had in a long while. Great value on top of that!
Ordered our meals on line which was very easy to do. Booked delivery time. Received a text when our
meals were on their way. Very prompt delivery. Food was very good. Best we've had for a long time and no need to heat up either. Would highly recommend and we will certainly be ordering again. Thank you.
Came here two years ago and was amazed by the quality of food. One of the best curries I had ever had.
Back in Chard now, two years later to find the same tremendous standards: fantastic spicy and tasty chicken curry with a freshly made excellent keema naan.
Looking forward to being back again! A huge recommendation from me :-)
The restaurant fixtures are very basic and there are only about six tables but don't let this put you off; at the time of writing, the restaurant has a five star hygiene rating.
The food is excellent and plentiful; the combination of spices is just right for my taste. The prices are reasonable but you get an even better deal on their Thursday and Sunday specials night. For under £10 You get a poppadom (Thursday only) a starter, a nan or rice, a side dish and a main course.
Unlike alot of specials offers in other Indian restaurants, there are no main dishes that are not available to choose from the menu. You do have to pay an extra £3 for king prawns or duck main dish.
The restaurant does not have a liquor licence but you can take in your own alcohol and appropriate glasses are provided. You are not charged corkage either. As a result you know you are only going to pay a tenner per person for a meal unless, of course, you decide to have extras.
Delicious food and wonderful service. My lamb pasanda was the best dish I’ve ever tasted. I’d give six stars if I could.
Wow wow wow. I took my mother out for mothers day. Had a very warm welcome from the staff. The food was amazing. I was impressed with the price. I will be eating there again.
5 stars for food, its excelent but , first time I order and I've found this on my chicken. Be more careful next time.
We had the most amazing meal thoroughly enjoyed ourselves but the only thing that let it down was having a television in the room. We felt that it would have made a nicer atmosphere with indian music playing rather than Eastenders etc which wewouldnt watch at any time. Better to have a night away from tv and enjoy the meal with an authentic feel. Those who want to watch tv and eat curry can order take away!
Just had an excellent takeaway with delivery and would highly recomnend. Exactly as ordered, nice and hot and delivered promptly as advised. Thank you.
