We went here for lunch because it’s mentioned in The Running Grave by Robert Galbraith. We received a warm welcome from the manager who allowed us to choose our table and bought a high chair for my granddaughter. We were offered water immediately while we made our choices. The menu was varied and o
Stunning venue. We sat in the garden. No service in the garden area we were told repeatedly. Had to go to the bar inside where one new bar maid was really struggling. Did not know how to make a Pimms. Bless her she was trying. Three people assisted eventually to make a cup of tea, two Pimms and a bo
Beautiful pub in CSG. Friendly staff and nice decor. Huge outdoor area to sit and for kids to play. Dog friendly too.
Excellent selection of drinks and extensive food menu. Nice little nod to Dad's Army in the staircase to the toilets. Filmed in area and celebrated still.
We had a lovely dinner last night at Merlin’s. Hadn’t been for a while and it has definitely come a long way since we tried it when it first opened. The food was delicious - I had the pork belly and crumble - and I couldn’t fault it. I do like how they have furnished it and the atmosphere was cosy a
Not bad though I thought it was a little overpriced. Has a pleasant atmosphere though it's more modern than traditional pub
Tried the chicken, fish and chips, burger, they're all what you expect from a pub and more. Good menu and selection of drinks. Service could be faster, people are kind. The Tuesday quiz is fun!
Had a lovely Friday evening in this stunning pub! We came to Merlin’s cave for dinner and we absolutely loved it. Service was good and helpful. Food was delicious and all the adults and children enjoyed their meal. We will definitely return.
My son chose this for a post funeral gathering. The stand up buffet was excellent and catered for vegetarian and gluten free. A large number of little boys ran amok with no complaints. And there were board games for enter

Dropped in on Sunday for lunch with my wife and daughter. I had the trio of roasts which was lovely, filling and well presented. My wife had the beetroot Wellington and my daughter had the kids Mac and cheese, all of which were lovely. Our server knew her stuff and was very professional. The garden
Popped in for a drink on the way home. Beautiful pub and a big garden space for when the weather is good.
Starter was too pricey. The Sunday roast was fantastic. Beer choices were average. As some of the stuff were new so they struggle to remember about us. Overall, good place.
This is the chicest pub I have ever been to. Incredible interiors. Incredible garden. Lovely people. Vegetarian Wellington! 🤩🥰
Little gem. Was sitting outside in garden. Different seating options: shade , sunny, chairs , more comfy chairs , benches etc. Had a great German beer weihenstephan and a non expensive but delicious sausage butty.
