Folklore Kitchen And Social - Chagford - Photo album

I haven’t stayed in the hotel but the rooms look lovely and the cafe is a great place to while away some time (whether solo or with friends) over delicious coffee, cakes and really tasty breakfast/lunch options. Highly recommend
Lovely cafe and staff offering a wide range of delicious food and often doing daily/weekly specials!
Friendly, with well-made coffee (though the roast was too dark for my tastes) and tasty loaded toast. Great nook at the back with folk library, toys and a sofa 👌 The cafe dog was a beauty but was also a cruiser and did try and steal from our plates! We look forward to coming back
Had a lovely breakfast - the scrambled eggs were delicious! All the staff were really welcoming and friendly. The whole place had a nice cosy feeling - facilitated greatly by the toasty fireplace. Will definitely visit again when in the area!
We were recommended to come try Folklore, and we are so glad! It was such a lovely cafe. The scandi theme that flows throughout has warm, comfortable vibe and casually very stylish. They have really kept the original feel of the building, but infused it with style! The menu is great too, we both had
Excellent, high quality food. I had breakfast here and was pleasantly surprised, they use local ingredients and you can really taste the difference! I recommend the banana milkshake with Devon cream 😍
Had a soup yesterday lunchtime at Folklore, was a vegetarian katsu soup curry, it was sublime five star. Tried to draw out the recipe but no luck. For once did not take a photo and enjoyed it so much. My wife had the winter salad, and our fiends had falafel and Satay kimchi. All were impressed and t
Folklore is the ONE! We all had an amazing lunch. ‘Probably the tastiest soup I’ve ever eaten’. ‘3 perfectly poached eggs’ Lovely coffee, service and ambience
The perfect place to stay in Chagford. Lovely rooms, comfortable beds, well decorated and the hosts are very kind. We had breakfast which was divine. I can’t recommend highly enough.
An absolute must when visiting Chagford, make sure you call in for a wonderful meal, snack or coffee & cake. The staff are so warm & welcoming, dog friendly & excellent service. All ingredients are sourced locally & top quality. We had an amazing brunch & will be back again !!!!
Had a wonderful three night stay at Folklore. Room was very spacious, full of character and really comfortable, breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced, coffee excellent and the owner creates a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The main dining/coffee space is a lovely area to have a bite to eat
Fantastic, atmospheric and friendly cafe / bar, what a delightful place. We had breakfast and coffee and it was superb. The chap who owns it was a joy to chat with, and the food and the service are excellent. Would highly recommend this place, and sad that we don't live closer so we could be regular
A lovely charming and excellent vibe to unwind! The music and the lovely setting just makes this place so great and a welcoming feeling. It has some wonderful barista coffee, excellent homemade artisan cakes and real healthy unique lunch options. A place that I admire and dream off, to have my own o
We stayed at Folklore for two nights with our 18 month old. The cafe has a very relaxed atmosphere with a cosy feel to it. There is a back room with a large table for meetings as well as a section with children’s books and wooden toys which our daughter enjoyed. We had breakfast each day which was
Recommended by a local as we were visitors. Good welcome. Pastries etc somewhat limited as a delivery was due. We like strong coffee and in hindsight should have asked for an extra shot of espresso in our Americano.
Popped in for a coffee, but couldn't resist the apricot flapjacks. They were amazing 😊.The Coffee was great too and the guy who served us was very welcoming and friendly. Lovely toilets too 😀
I cannot recommend this place enough. To put it simply; great, clean plated food and a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere. The Scandinavian inspiration is something a little different to what I have seen in Devon and I think it works well. After speaking to the owner and hearing what his plans are for
Excellent venue with the added bonus of two really nice rooms to spend a few nights away. The coffee is great, the food is excellent, and the staff friendly and helpful. Chagford is an excellent base from where to explore Dartmoor, and the staff can offer advice on walks nearby. Will definitely retu
We had the pleasure of staying few nights at Folklore, a little gem in the heart of Dartmoor. It’s a relaxed, homely and beautifully-designed space to hang out with great coffee, generous portions of tasty food and warm, welcoming staff. Our double room had modern rustic character (whilst avoiding f
