Found this little country pub on a return visit to Dorchester. We were very pleased with the welcome we received and continued to be impressed with the hospitality. We decided on eating our evening meal here and were very happy with the choice on offer. We had different meals from the menu and both were excellent alot more than expected from a village pub. If you're ever in the area and looking for somewhere to stop, look no further.

A nice old pub with the typical low ceilings, very older worldy. Service and atmosphere were good food was average, beer was very nice. Seemed to be a lot of stuff off the menu, perhaps because they had been busy earlier in the day with the village fete

Lovely old pub. Cosy and friendly. Was great to have two vegan options for Sunday roast and both were delicious, however was no vegan pudding option so had to go without which was a shame.

Very picturesque traditional pub serving a wide variety of well known and local beers I didn't try the food but it looked well presented and certainly smelled good My favourite part was the beer garden which was just about as good as they get If you are visiting the Cerne giant I recommend dropping in here

Delicious food, nice quiet atmosphere, and even though they were short staffed, they were attentive and friendly. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was magnificent 👌👌

Lovely old pub in the centre of the village. We had a lovely meal. Authentic, home-made, tasty pies and the desserts were lovely too. Parking was out the way on a side street but not far to walk. They have lovely soap in the loos and free WiFi. I'll be happy to return.

We popped in this quaint old English public house whilst visiting the beautiful village (Saturday 15th of July 2023). The host was super friendly, the service was 1st class and the depth of variety in the menu was awesome. Many thanks for your warm welcome and hospitality.

Stopped here for a drink while having a walk around the village. Pub seemed lovely inside and we sat in the garden which had a covered area and outside heating to cover all eventualities of the English summer. They had some locally brewed beer and the service was great.
