We were recommended to come by a friend. Am I glad we did! Hands down the nicest Sunday roast I’ve ever tasted. Some other reviews have said the food isn’t good and staff unhelpful. Far from it all staff we interacted with were extremely friendly and keen to ensure we enjoyed our food. Rest assured we will be back!!

Went here yesterday for the first time as a party of 10. The food and service were excellent. Highly recommended and we will definitely go back

Just home from the Ffrwd for Sunday lunch, it was faultless. There were 6 of us and we had the beef, lamb, pork and turkey so between us pretty much covered the menu options. The medley of vegetables were perfect with mashed potato to die for. Those that had puddings throughly enjoyed them. Excellent value for money. And would highly recommend.

Food is always wonderful and great value. Only 4 stars today, we were a party of 5 with 1 vegetarian, veggie option was just 6 stuffing balls! Also we asked for more gravy, the meat eaters got theirs, but despite asking 5 times for more veggie gravy it didn't arrive

Absolutely fabulous Sunday dinner couldn't be faulted. We hadn't been to the Ffrwd for a while partly due to the lockdowns, but we weren't disappointed and will certainly return. Great value for money, delicious food and good service. Thank you 😊

I'd recommend some reviewers doing their research beforehand. I'm pescetarian and was vegan for a few years and I'd always check a menu beforehand. The food here is always top draw and I get the price might be an issue but this is PROPER food not some frozen blandness at W*ethers. Never been employed by the establishment either 😜

Well worth it. Excellent menu variety, clean tables, super friendly staff and swift service. Large portion and reasonable prices. Tables seated with plenty of room and not cramped. Car park is opposite it which is easy to miss. Highly recommend.

This simply is the best place for a Sunday lunch. The meat was perfect and the veg lovely. I know the layout is not the best and there's no bitter on draft but the food and staff are top drawer. Treat yourself to a Sunday dinner you will never forget.

Gosh, what can I say. The food is out of this world, two courses but we couldn't manage our sweets but they were boxed up for us to take home. Good food, friendly staff. Win win.

The Ffrwd holds a dear spot in my heart, as it consistently delivers an exceptional experience of warmth, excellent food, and delightful surprises. As a frequenter of this cozy establishment, I can attest to the remarkable quality and flavors that their pub grub offers, providing a sense of comfort and satisfaction with every visit. While The Ffrwd's menu may consist of traditional pub fare, the dishes are elevated with exceptional attention to detail and flavor combinations. Each meal is lovingly prepared, creating a memorable dining experience that keeps patrons coming back for more. It's no wonder that I find myself returning time and time again to savor the delicious cuisine in this welcoming environment. One charming aspect of The Ffrwd that sets it apart is the occasional visit from local cats in the evenings. For cat lovers, this delightful occurrence adds an extra layer of warmth and charm to the experience. The Ffrwd's embrace of the local feline community speaks to the establishment's welcoming and friendly atmosphere

Visited Saturday night with my husband to be and after reading a few bad reviews I was a little nervous but I really needed not to be, it was quiet and we sat in the conservatory. Nice warm fire going in the bar we ordered the fish pie and steak and ale pie.. it arrived after a long wait but omg was it worth it. Huge portions the fish pie was full of salmon, cod ( I think) and 3 king prawns topped with cheesy mash, chips and peas on the side, steak pie was full of steak and yummy gravy and huge pastry on top. It was delicious 😋 all menus are on boards as they change often. Good Shiras wine and a double gin with mixer £6.50 lots of choice in gins. Service was friendly too.Overall we were amazed we will definitely be returning soon.

Popped in Saturday evening whilst visiting my mum nearby and wow we certainly weren’t disappointed! The food was fabulous. One of the best fish pies I’ve had for years and the home made chips were to die for. Very generous portions so as much as I tried I couldn’t finish it all sadly. Can’t wait to go back and try something else off the menu next trip 👍
